If you have hardware floors, this is a great toy for your cat. It doesn't move so well on carpet. My cat was entertained every so often for a good couple of months. It's fascinating to watch the toy slither across the room. As the other reviews mentioned, this toy is great in open spaces. When there's a lot of clutter, it will get stuck and I'd have to move it away. Assembling the toy was a breeze. It was like a rudimentary puzzle, clicking a few pieces. Charging it was easy too. For the value, I think it's worth the purchase.

My cats were thoroughly uninterested in this, which was surprising since one of them is interested in murdering everything including her own tail. That said, I kept it around for a few days just to see if at some point things would change. I *really* wanted them to like this!! As other people have noted, this does not work on carpet. At all. In any way. It also does not work on the transition pieces between rooms on tile and hardwood floors. It just gets stuck and makes a loud and annoying noise until it dies. Which it did. Like 3 days later it just stopped charging and moving. Fully dead, wouldn’t switch on or off and wouldn’t charge. Wouldn’t suggest you buy this.

My cat absolutely loves this toy snake! It snaps together easily, and it comes already charged right out of the box. Unfortunately, I’m now on my third one in under a year. The first had a problem with one of the wheels and needed to be exchanged. The replacement’s wheel eventually got jammed with cat fur — I even took it apart and cleared it, which helped for a while. After about nine months, that one stopped recharging altogether. Since my cat enjoys it so much (he’s pretty picky about toys), I decided to order another. Overall, it’s a fun and entertaining toy, but not very durable. Don’t expect it to last long-term.

This is a fun toy for two out of three of my cats. It’s fairly noisy, so that puts them off a bit. The motion is great, works best on smooth floors. Deep carpet—no go! I’m glad I bought it. As with all cat toys, rotating them in and out of play every couple months works best.

This is such a cute little toy! Our cat Luca loves it, although at first was a little scared! Learned quickly when it goes to ‘sleep’ he just has to touch it with his paw to get it moving again! The sensors and lighting up eyes and hissing sound all add to the intrigue for him.🐍 Is it worth the money? Well probably not because it’s just plastic but at least on Amazon it’s $19.99 with free shipping and free return. On their website it’s $34.95 plus shipping so everything is relative. I have gotten more expensive toys for my cat with less of a response so I would say go for it! It’s really a very clever toy. UPDATE: Somehow, this toy came apart (it’s in three parts) and one part got stuck on my long haired cat while lighting up and hissing. He ran around hoping for it to fall off. I had to take it off him. He was terrified and runs away from it ever since (several months). I’ve tried reintroducing it to him but he remembers immediately. So, if you have a long haired cat I would not recommend it even though it is a very cute toy.

My cat kinda liked it but I'm not judging it by that. It has a very short charging time and runs out of power very quick. Has a thing that tells it when something's in the way, but it works kinda spotty. Get stuck and doesn't turn like it should and has issues with anything but a flat floor without much carpet. Not really trying to bash it, it's a cheap toy and it moves. Cat just seems bored with it.

Never thought I'd call a rat snake cute, but right out of the box, this has been an amusement for our three kitties. Though its movements are often unpredictable, the novelty wears off quickly like most of their toys, so it gets put away for part of the day. Will be trying it out on our screened patio to see if it holds their interest "outside" any better. Charge lasts a good length of time and recharged quickly. Really like this feature versus their battery (eating) operated toys.

We have a 5-month-old kitten who is easily bored and full of energy. The Smart Sensing Snake was just the thing to keep him occupied and stimulated! The snake power lasts a good amount of time and does not take more than about 30 minutes to charge up. The toy rests intermittently after about 2 minutes or when it runs into an obstacle it can't surmount, saving power. This is just an enticement for the kitten to pounce and get Mr. Snake revved back up! The whole scenario peaks the older cats' interest as they watch all the goings-on! The Smart Sensing Snake is by far the best investment we have made in cat toys!
