It didn’t last 1 week before the motor stopped working and the combination kept defaulting to 0000. My 6 year old son was very disappointed. This safe seems to be better made and lasting longer. My daughter is 6 and we are trying to teach her to save money. This was the perfect bank for a great price. Does require batteries but instructions are clear. It is easy to set a password up. My daughter thought that was the best thing to enter her password code and open the door. Does have sound but I think it can be switched off.

Didn’t Last for 1 year. The keypad stopped working so we switched the batteries out with new, and it’s still not working. We had to pop the door off to get my daughters money out of it. I have a very disappointed 7 year old and I feel bad that she wasted her birthday money on this.
