Since its debut, over 300 million Slinkys have been sold worldwide. In 2000, this classic toy was inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame. My son wanted old-school games for Christmas, so I threw this in for him. He loves it, but they don't hold up like they used to. It was not even a week, and it was bent from play. It's still a fun toy and a bit of nostalgia to share.

"Kids Toys for Ages 5 Up" - Okay! Bought for squirrel discouragements for my bird feeders. When new working very well - very funny! But after a few 2-3 foot "stretches" they can get totally out of shape at the top section - loosing their "elasticity" and not returning to the "Slinky" shape. Would love to see a more Heavy Duty version. Overall, fairly to pretty happy with the product - Did order more! ... show more

    • I bought 6 for my grandson
When I asked my grandson (4 1/2 years old) what he wanted for Christmas, he said slinkies. Lots and lots of slinkies. Not necessarily because he wanted to play with a lot at once, but because they don't last him long. Actually, they don't last long for any young child. (Experience of a retired Pre-K teacher). Luckly, I saw Amazon had them on sale shortly after that conversation and bought him 6. I really wish I had bought more. He spent the whole day at our house with a slinky in his hand, slid up his arm, stretching it across the room, ets. I never saw him without the slinky all day. Needless to say, he left with 5 slinkies still in their box, and left the slinky he was playing with behind (all bent up and out of shape). So durability isn't great, but the fun factor will always be there for a slinky--one of the first fidget toys. My husband, over the course of several days, was actually able to bring the slinky back to life and in relatively good shape--so it is possible. No regrets, and as I said earlier, I wish I had bought more at the time. ... show more

I sent two of these to my nephew for Christmas. Why 2? Because as soon as anyone else sees this classic toy, they'll want to play too! Can't wait to hear what he thinks of Slinky !

I was so disappointed when I purchased/gifted a couple of these for my grandkids who both have several flights of stairs in their homes. However, the slinky did not work at either of their houses, one a fairly new build, one a little older. Apparently the depth of the treads is bigger than when they first made slinkys so they did not work, just sat on the next step, unable to fall to the next. Sad they missed out on the surprise/fun of a slinky. I can’t be alone with this issue, but didn’t notice any mention of it in other reviews. So, take notice. I can’t really recommend because of this ... show more

These are the original, old fashioned slinking! I had 1 of these in my cart, when the price dropped I added 2 more and then checked out! So glad I did. I have purchased some from other places and they did not hold up. These are very good!!!
