  • Funny voices,

My wife and I bought this gift for grandkids, but before we rapped it up, we started playing with it. We were laughing , and thinking about buying one for ourselves

  • What was I thinking
Style: Voice Changer
This is a creative little toy, but it will get on your last nerve lol especially if your child puts his/her mouth directly on the microphone. It’s SO loud! I bought 2 for my grandsons. Their mom won’t even let them take them home. Ha! She said that thing’s staying at your house! Colors are random. Got one red one and one purple one. ... show more

  • Junk!
Style: Voice Changer
This seems like it would be fun but it is a piece of junk. The voices for the most part sound the same and it kept my child's attention for all of 5 minutes because it was bad sound quality. Do not recommend it.

  • Only Purchase if You are a Tinkerer...Great Fun After Fixin'
Style: Voice Changer
Mixed reviews got ya confused? Don't despair if you do decide to purchase this toy and it does not work during a test run while it's still within its packaging. Do not open it, thinking that it's just bad batteries, just let Amazon know and they will hook ya up (via "Returns"). Anyway, on ours, it was not faulty due to old batteries. It was just put together by a demented elf. The manufacture date on ours is 08/11, which is pretty recent, so that elf could still be in the vicinity at Toysmith. A wire was pulled out, and a spring was not in properly. Just have a small screwdriver, the tinker fairy, and Crazy Glue handy. The Voices (not the ones in my head): -Low pitch: check. -High pitch: check. -Very low pitch: sounds slightly robotic, not much lower than above low pitch. -Very high pitch: grating, sounds normal with slight robot touch. -Normal and robotic: check. -Low pitch and robotic: check. -Very high pitch and robotic: check. -Amplified normal voice with high pitch: amp'ed normal voice with no discernible high pitch. -Amplified normal voice: same setting as above(?), see above description (same). -Robotic with high pitch: sounds like normal robotic. Has been dropped twice, and is still working great. Four-year-olds can utilize it. Takes a 9-volt battery, which is included. Do not throw out included "paperwork"- voice effect directions are included on said insert. Sample voices in our joint: Him (Powerpuff Girls), Steve Perry, various zombies (re: "Return of the Living Dead"), an eight-year-old horror host, and the character of Jame Gumb(!). ... show more

  • Neat for what I need- while it worked
Style: Mini Voice Changer
I am revising this review after discovering some flaws and downgraded my rating of this product. I didn't even get it out of the plastic before it stopped functioning properly. It most likely just needs a new battery, but uses some weird tiny twelve volt battery I never heard of that undoubtedly cost more than the toy itself. The battery is naturally screwed inside the toy with tiny screws. Assume if you buy this toy that you will need to replace the battery. If it isn't the battery that is defective, it might be the toy itself. I basically bought this because I am building a robot that will talk via a walkie-talkie inside of it... and I wanted it to sound like a robot. For my purposes, this toy might still be perfect. It has three sound settings on it, but to be honest... it doesn't matter which setting it is on... the sound is like that of a tin robot no matter what setting it is on. I can see a kid having lots of fun with this toy. It's not built to last for many drops, and is cheaply made... but it works and is fun. I'm planning to rip mine apart anyway, so I prefer it to be breakable myself. Unless your doing a specialized project like mine...this is the sort of toy that if it was sitting at a cash register and a kid wanted it, I might have bought it for them to play with for the couple of bucks knowing it is not going to last much beyond the ride home. I probably would not suggest mail ordering it... unless you have a particular need for a robot sound effect...as its shipping cost equals its value. I am sure it could get annoying if a kid used it all the time, but this is one of those toys a kid will play with for a few minutes...then loose it until it is rediscovered again. ... show more
