This thing is a beast, but needs a little bit of upgrade to be perfect! I am still rating it 5 stars however due to how much value is packed into this saw. It's a $1,600 saw for less than a third of the price. If you are going to get this saw order a set of OEM Stihl filler caps. The ones provided don't seal well without cranking them and will soon after explode on you. READ THE DANG MANUAL. The saw has a break-in period, the carburator is not tuned for full running speed out of the box and you should tune it after the first couple tanks of gas and it will be singing like a bird. This beast pulls my 36" bar through the hardest of woods. Their customer service was very helpful in replacing the filler caps as well (Even though I ended up just buying the OEM Stihl ones, but it's good to have them as backups) If you're looking for a piece of a saw with lots of power but don't want to break the bank, this is the pic for you, just give it what it needs and it will be your best friend.

This is a great price for a powerful saw. The parts are interchangeable with stihl as this is a direct copy though the parts are lower quality. I do not think a stihl is so much better that it warrants the double or more price. As parts break or wear out ill simply replace with stihl parts. The only problem I have had is the e clip for the drum fell off and the needle bearings went out within an hour of use. That is entirely my fault as I should have inspected it better. Standard stihl or artermarked needle bearings fixed it right up. The carb will need tuned out of the box but for my purposed this is a great saw. I wish they had a 460 clone instead of a 660 clone just bc its more saw than I need, but plan on getting into sawmilling.

I purchased this saw for slabbing oak, ash and eastern red cedar. I purchased a Farmmac F380W 24” bar previously for downing/brushing trees and was very impressed with the power and ease of starting, so far very dependable ( dropped/ brushed 70+ trees so far). Back to the F660VW, this saw is a beast. Always starts with 2 or 3 pulls (40/1 fuel mix). Slabbed 17 logs at present time with no problems with the F660VW saw so far. Would recommend this saw for average use, not sure how it would perform used daily by a professional. For my average use, this saw performs excellent.

DO NOT BUY FROM HUSTD PARTS. I buy a lot of things and this is my worst experience ever buying something. I was excited to buy this but unfortunately I had a hard time finding non ethanol gas in my location. I finally found some a few months after buying this and when I mix and fill it up it doesn’t start! I clear it in case of flooding and still nothing. Now my return window is closed and hustd tools was no help and has terrible customer service. Now I have a huge non functional chainsaw leaking bar oil on my floor. I knew I’d have to upgrade some parts but I thought it would atleast start. Tank smelled like gas when I received it. They claim this is from testing if it was tested it should work! Also I had to assemble it, so how did the test it? Didn’t even have the proper screw to connect the bumper spikes. I had to modify a screw. Such a waste of time and money

The saw is a monster it will cut whitish just about anything with the right bar and chain 5/5 would recommend.

It started right up after the 3rd crank - zero problems. Only used it once so far. But, for some unknown (odd to me) reason, it contains no assembly instructions. Though things appear intuitive, some things are not. BEWARE: during assembly you will see there are screws of different lengths that are used for the handle bars. It comes with 2 short ones and 2 long ones. I saw a video where they warn the user to not use the long screws one on the side of the handle bar - can actually punch a hole in the fuel tank used. The user manual is pretty terrible as well. Also, the chain oil adjustment screw does not turn.

This saw came in yesterday and today I assembled it, the handle was bent in a way that I needed to bend it into place before it would fit on the saw, the supplied screws for the felling spikes are too long and needed to be cut, and it won’t start, like at all, I have premix fuel that I payed a premium for because it’s specifically for break in, I dumped that out and tried normal premix and even went as far as starter fluid (big no no for 2 strokes but I was desperate) it left me disappointed, and the tree is still standing UPDATE- let the saw rest for a week until I decided to try one last time, I put fresh fuel in it (110 octane w/ oil) and it fired to life, haven’t had an issue since, and I have a custom ported exhaust that really woke it up, would highly recommend!
