We used this pet carrier for our 16lb Pom/Poo mix. She could comfortably turn around but could not sit up straight. If the airline attendants had been picky, we would have had to take the platform off for it to fit under the seat in front of our seats. We did take the wheels off which come off and on easily. I would recommend this carrier to others.

We traveled with 2 dogs from California to Florida via United Airlines. We bought this wheeled pet carrier for my 15 lb puppy to avoid having to carry her around the crazy airport. It was amazing and she fit comfortably in it. It was very easy to maneuver and made traveling so easy. However, in the 2nd picture you can see it does not fit under the seat. The sides are not very flexible to allow it to fit under the seat.We pushed it back as far as possible and the flight attendance did not say anything. If you are looking for a pet carrier for non-traveling needs.. get this one! If you're looking to travel on a plane then find a smaller option.

I have not traveled with the carrier yet, but from what I have read in the reviews, I must remove the platform which supports the wheels in order to reduce the overall height of the carrier in order to fit under the airplane seat. Am I correct with this?

The bag is very convenient, but the height is a little too tall. I have flown on 2 airlines, United and American Airlines, and both times after removing the wheels you have to really squish it under the seat in front of you. Doing this causes the bag to fold down on the pups at an angle. Other than this issue it is great.
