As a real-life farmer sometimes after a hard day of working, the best relaxation would be for me to pull out Farming Simulator. (Crazy, I know) After recently joining the Farming Simulator family by first getting Farming Simulator 15, I can say that this game is a incredible improvement. The experiences are close to realistic with some disappointments but that is to be expected. Farming Simulator 17 definitely shows it is European influenced in the style of a multitude of non-American brands and the field styles are incredibly small and flat. Unlike most of American farms which are massive and challenging. If you would like to get a taste of what the backbone of a nation's workers have to do. Then I would recommend you get this game. I would like to add, like all Farming Simulator games, this one has again tremendous Mod Support. In-fact it has integrated into the game main menu so you can see mods that Giants added and carefully selected user-submitted mods. Awesome game! Been playing it for hours ever since i bought it last week. So many different ways to make money, always keeps me entertained. Would highly recommend it. Some might say there are not enough of one brand tractor, or another, however, that is due to getting permission to use them from the companies who make them, and more are being added as that permission is granted, (they pay the company for the rights to use their likeness). And the gaming community has come up with all kinds of mods to add more content free of charge. ... show more

This is my first time playing a Farming Simulator game, so I cannot compare it to the previous versions. Also, I have only been playing if for a few hours. My first impression is very favorable. I have a lot to learn both about the game, and farming it seems. That is part of the appeal, I suppose. I did pre-order, and the codes for two tractors were emailed to me, and I was able to download them, and they installed, so there were no issues there. So far, no complaints. ... show more

Fantastic game! Cheaper for PC than it was for PS4 and you can use way more mods on PC. The only con I have for this game is that the crop prices at the selling points are only about half what they were in the previous games so it will take you much longer to get that shiny new tractor or combine you've been saving up for. Not sure why Giants did this but other than that I love this game! ... show more

A farmers game but has several program anomalies which frustrate gameplay. For example, you can hire helpers, but they cant plow, plant or harvest any field that isn't exactly square. At times the helpers you hire, just stop working in the middle of the assigned task (I know just like in real life, but isn't suppose to happen in the game according to Giant). Downloads or updates take several attempts to acquire or just stop in the middle of the download ( and yes we have modern computers and high-speed access). ... show more

I bought two copies of this game. Note that if you buy the cd copy you need to have the cd in the computer to play the game. I learned this the hard way, next year I will buy a digital download again. The graphics look amazing. I also love how they allow players to add mods for new tractors.

I like the fact that they added more to do and the sound is so accurate. However I am disappointed that more was not added , it feels like farming simulator 2015 with a few more bells and whistles. There is so much more they could have done to make the game even better, The modding community is a good example of what can be done. I was hoping they would take some of those ideas and include them in the game. The game right now is buggy in places. I downloaded the patch that came out right away but I still am finding bugs.Tractors saying they are blocked when nothing is in the way.Grain still flowing from combines even after you have moved the trailer from underneath. I am sure with time they will work out these bugs.The game is good but with all the hype I thought it would be spectacular. Also I did not receive my promised bonus tractors from pre-order so that is a bummer. I like the game but I see a lot more potential that has not been tapped into and could really make this game almost perfect. ... show more

I have to say for the price it was well worth it I was hoping that it would be a bit cheaper but I trust amazon so I got it My son plays this all the time he loves being on the farm I have to say I watch him play it I am blown away because he really does love it I am very happy with the purchase that I made he has farming sim 15 and he loves this better ... show more
