Top Amazon Reviews

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The Vive Tracker is generally well received for significantly increasing the battery life of VR sets, up to 10 hours as advertised, and being relatively easy to set up. There exist some complaints regarding the quality of its straps and its USB ports. While it effectively extends playtime, users have reported issues with the fragility of the Micro USB to USB-C adapters and the adapters breaking easily. However, the company has reportedly addressed this in recent versions.

Pros

  • 😊 Extends battery life of VR sets significantly.
  • 😀 Setup is generally easy.
  • 😎 Touts compatibility for all adaptations of VR experiences.
  • 😍 The company has made adjustments to improve earlier issues.

Cons

  • 😞 Straps and USB ports are reported to be of subpar quality.
  • 😠 Adapters are very fragile and tend to break easily.
  • 😧 There are some inconsistencies between product information on the box and web page.
  • 😕 Additional options required such as third-party cables and dongles, possibly driving up the cost.

Should I Buy It?

If you are heavily into VR and regularly have long gaming sessions, this product will enhance your experience. Just be aware and ready to handle the delicate parts with care, possibly invest in third-party cables or dongles for a more durable setup.

  • Incredible quality
Set name: TrackStrap
I was genuinely surprised by how much I ended up loving the Rebuff Reality track straps because I expected them to just be another simple accessory but they turned out to be such a solid upgrade for my setup. The material feels sturdy and comfortable and it does not slip around even during longer sessions which is something I have had issues with in the past. The stitching feels reliable and the straps hold the trackers in place without cutting into your skin or feeling too tight. What stood out to me the most was how well they stay put during fast movement because I use my setup for games that really get you moving and these handled everything without shifting or loosening. The inside padding feels soft and it keeps everything steady so you do not have to keep adjusting anything which is a huge relief. They also clean easily and still look brand new after plenty of use. The fit is secure without being uncomfortable which makes them great for long sessions and the quality honestly feels better than similar straps I have tried. They do exactly what they are supposed to do and they do it consistently and comfortably. If you want something that feels dependable and well made these are absolutely worth picking up. ... show more

  • Best Pick! But keep some things in Mind, So it works best.
Set name: TrackStrap
The Straps works well and do what they say. The thing is though, the foot straps use Velcro, which can wear out over time, so you should keep this mind, since, you may need to buy new ones every year or so. Also, the tightener for the waist strap does need work, as its very simplistic, I've had some issues with keeping the tightness in place. (While in VR I had to keep tightening it, which was a annoying) As a helpful tip, I would suggest using a small clip to keep the tightener in place, it works very well and doesn't make things un-comfortable. You could also use tape-on-velcro, which I also got from amazon, but be careful, as it can come off sometimes and leave residue, so I stopped using that, but for others, it might work well for you. ... show more

  • Is it worth buying? YES
Set name: TrackStrap
These straps are very comfortable and flexible they don’t Weigh down my movement and it’s very easy to get on Velcro straps are strong snd in my opinion the best straps I’ve tried but reason question is it worth 50$? Absolutely worth every dime. Fit 10/10. Very stable, and very functional.

  • Not perfect but its the best option for Vive tracker-based FBT.
Set name: Trackstrap Plus
The only other option is to not have the extended battery life... or to tape a battery of your own to a strap you like. If you want a professional grade, non-DIY solution, this is the only option. What it helps with: It gives trackers extra battery life. It'll also work for a GoPro, though, if you can mount it to the 1/4 screw. These straps are also straps, so they help with strapping things, specifically trackers, to your body. You can also use them for strapping something to a large pole or plank, but they will not work for anything small, like a carbon fiber maul stick. What I found a little disappointing: The straps themselves are a little uncomfortable compared to my old straps. I bought a $30 bundle of straps for my trackers which didn't have the extra batteries in them. They were incredibly comfortable. These battery-filled straps are nowhere near the same quality as those other straps and I can tell the difference right away. I find myself having a hard time ignoring the extra weight on my ankle straps, too. These batteries are very lightweight, but I guess every tiny bit of weight is noticeable when you're going to wear it for a long time. The USB ports of the batteries on these straps are also an extremely tight fit. I have some trouble getting 2 cords next to each other so I can charge the battery and the tracker at the same time and not require an additional charge cable to the wall. It works but it could be a lot easier to manage. Overall opinion: Get it. It's your only semi-decent option if you want to do full body tracking for extended periods of time. It also really does add a lot of time to your trackers. Good product at a somewhat expensive but ultimately necessary price. Worth it. ... show more

  • its elementary, dear eboy
Set name: TrackStrap
still the most reliable straps ive used. most secure and ive never had to rescrew them even through HEAVY dancing usage. one thing i will note with any strap is that the bottom of your feet will hurt over time, but that's basically unavoidable for any strap

  • Hours per set? for about 1000 or more for highly active players
Set name: TrackStrap
So after very long sessions and much playtime do these work are they good? Yeah they hold up very well about 1000 hours of abusive play in VR for a set before they start to degrade noticeably, if you are light and gentle i would say you can get like 1500 hours out of a set, but thats not me. I dance ,do concerts, jump, run, play hard, spin around alot, and do all sorts of yoga and exercise, we do it all. I bought my first 2.0 trackers used and they came with trackstrap plus which I used for about 250 hours, I sold them to my homie in canada since they are like stupid expensive there, who still uses them 1 1/2 years later. Then I bought 3.0 trackers and swapped for Track strap non plus and used them for about 1000 hours the feet where looking worn so i bought another set and after another 1000 hours the feet are looking worn and finally the belt is worn a bit to , the next set im buying will be the Feet only set as i still have a brand new belt. I bought some skywins to sell with 2.0s and they looked and felt cheap, gross , you will be wearing these alot, treat your IRL body nice! spending on your rig, your vr gear and avatar? sure. So spend on you also! IF there is something to beat this, I have not found it, I do tilt them slightly so the trackers face outward a bit on my feet for comfort since the logos are thick as the furries in vrchat! So pay a few bucks more and get the best! They dont slip, they hold very still for most active sessions increasing your tracking and they stay clean so long as you play with clean feet! also i wear mine without socks or shoes, i like to be comfy! ... show more
