It is a versatile and powerful tool that goes beyond streaming. It's an excellent choice for non-streamers looking to enhance their productivity and creative workflows. 1- I used to keep an eye on my CPU and GPU Temperature, GPU/CPU Load, and CPU Usage, so if my PC is getting pretty hot, I could turn on the AC and bring down the temperature. 2- I can use the discord setting to Mute my mic or Deaf myself as well as to share my screen and join different channels with just one touch, also a plus with the soundboard you can have your favorite ones without the need to look for them inside the discord app. 3- For Zoom meetings, Webex meetings, etc... I have all the buttons set up so I can easily share my screen, mute my mic, view the members inside the meeting, the chat, all in a couple of touch. 4- I can access my games directly with just one touch like my Steam games, GamePass, Battlenet, Epic, and GOG. 5- I can make a profile when I'm developing a program to take actions that will take me many steps to reach with one click. First, I’d like to say that while this is primarily for Windows, it can and does work in Linux. I have it set on my desk near my trackball, and with a quick jab of a button, I can bring up my browser, turn on some music, open up a file folder, mute my mic in Discord, and tons more things. Literally, it’s like a physical shortcut deck, and media controller, and program editor, and so much more - in one small device. The most powerful feature really, is the fact you can set one key that jumps you forward or backward one page - of the streamdeck. That means instead of only having 15 programmable keys, you have 14 on the first page, plus 13 on each following page, and as many pages as you can handle. I have mine set with 10. That’s 131 customizable buttons on a “15-key streamdeck” I would be shocked if someone needed more, but if you did, it’s expandable too. If you’re thinking about getting it for something other than streaming, stop thinking and start buying. It’ll do what you’re wanting and a lot more. I am not a streamer. I am a professional game designer. I am also disabled. I bought this to have a programmable 15 button macro keypad to supplant multi key keyboard inputs which I do hundreds or thousands of times a day for work. I had this up and running out of box and customized in less than an hour. It's great. Just the undo, redo, cut, copy, paste, paste special, alt tab (change window), and combined copy then paste buttons alone makes my day job so so so so so much easier and less painful at the end of the day. If you have fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel, anything like that and do office work where you're affected by ergonomics, esp. if you use your keyboard two key buttons a lot (ie copy paste etc) you will benefit from and love this. Only one star off for: keys are more "squishy" than I would want compared to a keyboard or game pad or arcade "click" buttons; the raised dot in center key blurs the image which I don't like it's harder to read that key, the plastic keys reflect light so if positioned wrong it's hard to see should have used glare free plastic, and it should have on board memory to save my buttons I shouldn't have to do that via a cloud save and import whatever. Lastly, one drawback in the design is no physical power button, and an external one connected in didn't work (disabled the device). In order to remote into my work computer I have to leave it on, but when I lock my computer the display on this remains on which I assume will wear out the display faster being on all the time, so I physically unplug it, and due to the angles it's hard to physically unplug behind the device, and my computer is far away and on the floor so it's impossible to unplug there, and external switch renders the device powerless so far so that's a slight disappointment but I believe I found a screen saver setting that may be turning the display off when locked now too but it wasn't the default. If even thinking this could help you with key entry for a disability then jump on it you won't regret it. Spread the word this is NOT just for streamers. It rocks. Thank you to the makers for making my work life that much faster and easier. ... show more

I've always wanted a stream deck. For many many years, I've seen it at the top my wish list, but only recently have I been able to actually get my hands on one. It's even better than I expected. Setting it up is super easy. Literally all you have to do is just plug in the type C connector into your computer, download the Elgato Stream Deck software, and customize it to your liking. There are a ton of different plugins and add-ons that you can download to not only enhance your stream, but also your productivity elsewhere on your computer. Think Excel spreadsheet shortcuts and Powerpoint tricks. It also just looks really nice. The one version that I have has the gummy keys and sits on my desk at an angle. The brightness is adjustable and looks really nice alongside with my setup you can also customize the screensaver on it to show something while you're not using it actively. It makes no noise and is whisper quiet, and it is a welcome addition to my workspace. Honestly, I can't even stream without one now and I am very happy with my purchase. ... show more
