4.5 stars. These are very easy and very convenient. No installation or anything required, and if you change your mind about where you want them or what setting you want, it’s super easy to switch them. I have one on my stairs so I don’t fall down them at night, and one at my back door. I like that you can either attach the metal mounting clips (we did this for the stairs) or just magnetize it to anything (we did this for the back door, as it’s metal). I like that I can grab the light off the door and walk around in the yard with it like a flashlight. The three “warmth” settings are distinct and a good range of options. I use these on the night-only motion setting. They are accurate about light and dark, and appropriately sensitive. The reason for the half star deduction is the battery life. It’s unpredictable. Sometimes I don’t have to charge them for a couple weeks. Other times it’s a couple days. The back door one is outside (under the eaves and never gets wet) so it does get very cold, but this happens to the indoor one too. Thankfully it’s easy to just grab it and charge it and then stick it back up a couple hours later, but it’s annoying that it’s hard to know when they’ll die so I can’t really schedule a daytime charge - I just notice they’re no longer lighting up when I want them in the middle of the night. ... show more

excellent presentation and controls. Like the magnetic mounts, variable brightness and color. Has helpful charging/full indicator light. Still good after 9 months use. My examples have a rather high battery selfdischarge rate. Battery flat within 60 days, even when fully off.

We put a few under our kitchen cabinets to illuminate countertops in our farmhouse kitchen and I just love how well they work. They charge in about 30-40 minutes,even from completely dead battery and they last about a week in between charges. Very pleased with this purchase. This lights are ok, but you cannot leave them on steady or the battery runs out quick and you have to recharge them. On the sensor they last more but you need to have the plug to a wall circuit most of the time. They are not that good for functionality.
