I installed it in 60 seconds and it has been on my dash in the 99 degree heat and humidity of Florida ever since! I highly recommend this little gizmo. There's a handy button on the back that you press gently and the side arm grips release so you can remove your phone without adding any pull stress on the mount at all. Works well for the price. My vents are vertical instead of horizontal, so it was a little more difficult to use that feature. I had it working well for awhile, but I plan to switch it to the dash. I bought 2 and gave as gifts. It works really well - super easy to install, easy to use, and holds the phone firmly. There's a button on the bottom right side that lets you release the phone quickly, and the clamp easily adjusts to grab the phone. The product comes in 3-4 simple pieces depending on your position preference. It took me about 5 minutes to assemble and set up from my air vent. The kit also includes a windshield suction clip.

This car phone holder has been great! The quality is high end AND easy installation. I have tried so many cat holders and they would loosen up over time or they would break with a month. I bought this after Deals or Duds mentioned this. My old one was wearing out and blocked my CD case. It is easy to put together out of the box. I chose to mount it on my dash in such a way that I can view my GPS with my phone in landscape or straight up and down. If you are worried that heat will cause it to detach, don't be.
