I got this to resist sweat and other small amounts of adult bodily secretions. It works fine for that.. I cannot speak to bed wetting or spilling full cups of drinks on it. I was a bit bummed the California King Size Mattress Protector came with 2 Standard Size Pillow Protectors... I have large pillows for my large bed. I like that it zips and is a full encasement.

It was easy to put on and very soft feeling, not at all plastic feeling. Cat had urinary infection and had almost ruined my mattress, but on her last accident it didn't penetrate and go through. Cat is better and I feel a lot safer knowing it works - in case!
