I bought this 5-pack of EverBrite Headlamps for a family trip, and they turned out to be one of the best purchases I’ve made in a while! The lights are surprisingly bright for their size, and I love that they come with multiple modes including red light light, which was great for outdoor nighttime exploration with kids and nighttime reading in the tent. Each headlamp is lightweight and comfortable, even for my kids, and the adjustable straps fit both adults and children perfectly. The memory function is a nice touch — it remembers the last mode used, which makes it super convenient. Not sure why they call these “kids” headlamps. They fit adults and work great! Very bright and actually fairly comfortable to wear. Battery life is very good as well. I had to buy a second set of these to keep one in every vehicle for emergencies.

    • Great budget lamps, with only one caveat.

I purchased these a few weeks ago to take camping with my son. We share astrophotography together and really needed some red headlamps. Considering these have the feature, and a memory mode they seemed worth taking a gamble on. They feel comfortable and fit adults fine, I was a bit hesitant as they said for "kids" until I read some other comments. The bands adjust a lot and I can't imagine anyone having too large of a head. Each lamp takes 3 AAA batteries, and after using them in cold temperatures for many hours I didn't notice any brightness loss. However we did primarily use solely the red light, so take that with a grain of salt. I do have one caveat though, I do not like how the memory option works. We had to click these on and off frequently, and in order to shut it off you have to hold the button down for 3 seconds. It seems insignificant but there were many cases where we ended up switching the light by accident, and had to cycle through all of the modes to fix it. And anyone who does do astrophotography knows that your adapted vision gets destroyed by bright lights. So that especially early on was a big issue. I just wish that you could set the light mode and turn it off and on with one button press, and perhaps hold it down to enter the cycle mode. Regardless of that they are worth the money, and on the full brightness setting they are indeed very bright. As I am sure that's what a lot of people will use them for. ... show more

A Reliable, Bright Headlamp Perfect for Family Adventures After testing the EverBrite Headlamp during nightly dog walks and a weekend camping trip, I can confidently say it's a solid choice for casual outdoor use. The 300-lumen high beam provided plenty of light for trails, while the red and green modes were great for keeping night vision intact. The adjustable strap fit everyone in my family - from my youngest to the adults - and stayed secure even during active use. I especially liked the 65-degree tilt, which made it easy to direct the light where I needed it, whether setting up a tent or reading in the dark. One thing to note is the battery life. On the brightest setting, it lasted about four hours, so I'd recommend carrying spare AAA batteries for longer outings. The plastic build keeps it lightweight, but it doesn't feel as rugged as some higher-end models, so I'd avoid rough handling. Rich's Bottom Line: This headlamp delivers great value for its price, with versatile lighting and a comfortable fit.
