We have a 12×20x48 pool that came with the cartridge filter pump. It seemed to work well for the first week. After that it became impossible to keep the water clear. Went thru a three pack of filters at $5 bucks each and decided there had to better a better way. We live in the South and get a ton of rain along with heat and humidity. Purchased the Evajoy, installed it and within 24hrs pool was clear. I had no missing parts. The hoses were a challenge, but a little trick..... heat them with a blow dryer for a few seconds and they will slip right on. The instructions are well written for a bargin priced item and the pump seems to be well made. The pump is very quite and works well for our size pool. I was able to pick it up with a coupon that Amazon will offer on products from time to time and delivered was only $85 which makes it an outstanding value. ... show more

1st I have been using filter pump for 2 months through many hot days, 5 days straight pouring rain, lots of kiddos in & out & even my Cat who jumps in trying to catch the night lights, I am quite OCD about everything being clean, consistent, reliable so I can't give this pump the credit it due I feel but will try. 1st I had a few issues w/ instructions I emailed Evajoy they responded w/ in an hour or so, providing me w/ a link to manual that made it very easy for me to install the filter myself along w/ everything needed for upkeep, troubleshooting etc. Plus gave me a # to contact if I had any ?. I did have to purchase a pack of hose adaptors as hoses were larger than ones pool had plus some extra clamps which I knew I would b4 I purchased Evajoy pump it cost less than $10 to purchase both item & I had plenty extra for future. Ive had pool 3 yrs pump it came w/wouldn't start, bought 2 more they leaked, hard to hook up, never ran at full power. Evajoy has not leaked anywhere & I have 10 clamps connecting hoses to coupling & pool. I wanted to try using Pool Cotton Filter Balls instead of Sand I asked Rep for Evajoy He assured me it would be fine. He was 100 they worked perfectly & I can wash them out & reuse over & over. There r so many extras I got w/ this filter it has hook up for vacuum, its so easy to change the setting dial it over to backwash, circulate, winterizing, filter plus more. & it is very quite I have to stand right beside it at night w/o other outside noises to hear it run if I didn't see the bubbles shooting water back into pool through intake hose I would wonder if it was running. Ive waited 2 months b4 writing a review bcuz too often things will work at 1st just to break or stop after a short period.. I have had no leaks in all the 10 places I have clamps & adaptors, its still running w/ as much power as it started ( I check my gauge often) also I must say the attached gauge is precise made of sturdy material. I wished I would have had this for the past 3 yrs. The amount of time Ive had to drain a pool bcuz it turned green overnight due to insufficient filter, times I had to tell the children they couldn't swim bcuz issues due to filter, chemicals I wasted to where I stopped using pool bcuz of guilt of having to put extra chemicals in our environment. I barely even have to use anything other than 1-3" chlorine tab last 2 weeks keeps all my chemical levels accurate. I do my part in cleaning bugs& leaves out daily & vacuum as needed the Evajoy Pump does all the rest & I've not had to tell the kiddo NO once & that's what makes me the happiest bcuz that why I bought it in the 1st place. I do think its a must to get instruction manual downloaded bcuz U will not find this particular brand shown anywhere on YouTube or Google etc. Its a shame bcuz it is 5⭐.. Ive thought about making my own video bcuz ppl may be put off having to add a few coupling & clamps but its easy, under $10 (I saw a review of this Filter where a guy said He spent extra $100's purchasing extra coupling Idk if His were made of Gold or what, so He returned it, but trust me @ Amazon look for Marsui 6pc. 1-1.5" hose connectors. Its worth the effort & less than $10 extra to adjust the hoses IF NEEDED to have a Summer Time ENJOYING your clean effortless pool. Ive never written such a detailed or long review but this is an item that is well deserving of my time to write about my honest experience w/ Evajoy Pool Filter & I also wanted ppl who have had the same experience w/ their pool filters the cost & labor or replacing those constantly , basically something U purchase for enjoyment for your family turning into a huge headache & waste of time & money such as what Ive dealt w/ 3yrs due to crappy filters issues that hopefully it will be the answer to your issues as it was for me. The good part of the review- package arrived in one giant box on a pallet. Good communication by email and text about specific date and time package would arrive. Deliver driver left it under my carport since it was raining that day. Very nice design on pool liner, seems like very thick vinyl (only when we use and fill up will be able to determine that!). The bad review Very small thin booklet with very vague set up instructions. One video said 30min set up. Took over 3 hrs with 5 people working to get the frame up. Pool frame locking pins had to be adjusted ourselves because they were pushed into the poles and not ready to use on a few of the poles. Then the liner didn't align up with the frame as we connected it so we had to feel and guess where the push pins was to get it connected. The last horizontal pole of the frame was very long, 6-8inches to long, so there was no way to connect it. There is no customer service number to call and get assistance only emails so no quick response. Then the sand filter and pump had very vague instructions, most of the pipes that came with the pool kit didn't even fit the pool filter. I had to use my own pipes from last pool and adapters to connect it all together. Still have to figure out how to stop one very tiny leak on the pipe where the water goes into the sand filter because no adapter I have found will fit it to get a good seal. If I didn't get these pool at a decent price during winter and I had already put so much time and effort into this I would be returning this. Pool filter not able to keep up with such a large pool. Wish I could return Now 1 month after set up sand filter is leaking, no one from customer service will return call or email ... show more

I bought this pool after much research and review reading. So I knew what I was in for as far as assembly. It was super easy EXCEPT for the very last T. My suggestion is to have all the vertical poles OFF, do it in the sun so the liner can be flexible, and put the 2 poles that you are attempting to attach, straight up in the air so you can get the ends to meet and then you can force them together. I literally had to hire a couple guys cuz we couldn’t work it out. Also a couple of incredibly strong men…can increase chances of success. I think I’ll be happy with the pool itself. The ladder is a big piece of junk so u may want to invest in a decent, strong ladder. ... show more
