  • Great summer purchase, Leak-free!
Size: 18ft*48in
Can’t beat this for the money. I was little nervous from reading the reviews, but with four kids I thought for under $300 I’ll give it a try. If it’s trash, at least I’m not out a lot of money. The hoses do leak as mentioned and the pump doesn’t seal super well without making some tweaks to it. It’s been up for about a month now. We have used JB Water Weld to help reinforce where the hoses go as there were some small leaks around it. The hoses DO FIT, but they are pretty tight to get on. For the ring around the pump, we had to re-seal a few times to finally get it completely closed. No more leaks and everything is running just fine. Very happy with this purchase. The ladder is holding up fine. No complaints here. Set up was relatively easy considering knowing what areas may be troublesome from reading other reviews. Planning on using more than one summer if it continues running this well! My ground is now dry and we are leak-free! 18x48 can’t beat it for the price! ... show more

  • DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
Size: 18ft*48in
I had the inflatable pools before and the fact this came with a sand filter was a plus. Until I got it. After spending two days researching online and even going to Evajoy website to find a use manual, we still couldn't find any instructions on how to hook up the filter. The filter inserts that go on the inside of the pool, the hoses wouldn't fit. Then after filling it halfway we discovered it had a leak right in the seam. I checked to see if I could locate a contact info for technical support with absolutely no luck. Thanks to Amazon, we will be able to return it, although it is costing me an additional $50 to purchase a box to put it back in, since the box it came in was already destroyed when it was delivered. ... show more

  • Great pool for a hot summer!
Size: 18ft*48in
With how hot the summer has been, we decided to bite the bullet and try an easy-up pool like this. My husband found this one after hours and hours of searching and reading reviews. The main negative reviews about this seem centered around hose connections, which can be adjusted with plumbers tape, JB WaterWeld, or clamps. And, you can't beat the price, it's the perfect size for backyard family use (we got the 18' x 48" model), and it comes with a ladder and pump. So, we decided to give it a go. We've not been disappointed! We've had it up for just over a week, and it has gotten a LOT of use so far. The weather turned cooler a few days after we set it up, but we're still enjoying it for a bit most evenings, and it's an absolute life-saver on the hot days. It's such a good value, too. There are other pools like this out there, but they're almost twice the cost. I was worried that maybe the quality wouldn't be fantastic, but we figured it would be a cost-effective way to keep cool and get the kids outside more during hot weather, even if we only used it for the rest of this summer. But I have no complaints about the quality or functionality, and I can easily see us using this for the next year or two, until we decide if we want to put in a larger pool. And then probably passing it on to someone else who needs a good above-ground pool! Due to the negative reviews, I was a little nervous about the hose connections, but all but one of them connected good and tight right from the get-go. We put the clamps on all the tight, drip-free connections just to be safe, in case anything loosened over time. So far so good. The one loose connection was the connection to the top of the pump, and we just wrapped that really well with the included plumbers tape, and tried again. No drips! Again, we then used the included clamp for extra assurance. I have some JB WaterWeld on hand just in case, and we check it every day for any drips or other leaks, and so far the only water is what we splash out having fun in it! We don't have a big paved area, but I cleared and leveled out (to the best of my ability) a spot in our backyard that used to be for a fire pit. We're lucky that we have clay soil, so we ended up with a reasonably smooth surface to start from. It's not 100% level, but the water level is only a couple of inches different from the low side to the high side. We did put down a big tarp of our own, and then the included base tarp, which is super thin. Glad we had our own. We figure we'll use it as is for the rest of this summer, but next year when we set it up we'll put down a pad of felt or sand first, just to protect the bottom of the pool, and our feet, from those odd rocks that still manage to poke up. But, as it, it's pretty flat and smooth. The set-up process could NOT have been easier. We laid out those tarps, then unfolded the pool and decided where we wanted the pump side to be. Then inflated the top ring, which took less than a minute with a small inflator. And then... started adding water. We're on a well, so it took the better part of two days to completely fill it up. If you're on city water with high pressure, it'll probably take a lot less time. But it was a HOT day when we started setting it up, so we even enjoyed it when it only had an inch or so of water. We all got in and smoothed out the base of the pool as it was filling, and it was like playing on a splash pad. As it got fuller and fuller, we kept smoothing out the edges and checking the sides. Once it was completely full, wow. Four feet of water is such a perfect depth for cooling off. And... our well water was COLD when it first filled! Now, a week later, the water stays pretty darn chilly, which feels wonderful during late afternoon. Not exactly great for an early-morning swim, unless you're a polar bear. It gets full sun almost the entire day, too. I think the shape and the thick sidewalls help keep it cool. I've been in other types of above ground pools that heat up the water a lot more, and I really appreciate that this one doesn't. Keeps growth of scuzzy stuff down a bit, and just feels soooooo nice on a hot day. It comes with a cover, too, which, again, is just a thin tarp. It's not ideal, but, heck, I don't think any covers are. They all seem to be a bit of a pain to put on and take off; they all hold water to some extent. But this one isn't back-breaking to put on or take off. You can do it solo, though it's much easier with help. It WILL hold some water as you pull it off, but just plan for that and expect to get a little wet. Make it part of the fun! I lay the cover out on the grass next to the pool, and once it dries off I shake it really well then fold it up until it's time to put it back on. So far it's doing the trick! That thick sidewall plastic seems super tough, too. We were a little worried about our cats, dogs, or chickens messing with it, but none of them have that we know of. I don't think they could hurt it if they did. I'm not gonna take a knife to it to test just how durable it is or anything, but after a week of rambunctious use, I feel pretty confident that it'll hold up for us. The 4' depth is just wonderful for either floating or jumping or splashing. We got some hammock floaties, and you can "paddleboat" around the pool on them. Fun AND a good workout. The 18' diameter is also awesome for laying back on a float. My husband and I will each stretch out on our floats, and the kids still have plenty of room to play around us. You're not gonna be able to swim laps in this thing, but you can have a ton of fun and cool off. One last thought - you are still gonna need "stuff" to maintain this pool. Maybe that's obvious to some folks, but I honestly tend to forget about that. A couple days after we set it up, we were like, oh yeah... we need some stuff. A vacuum of some kind, a skimmer of some kind, and chemicals of some kind. We opted for chlorine-free options, and are using enzymes and mineral-based water treatments. Our skimmer mostly saves honeybees from drowning at the moment, but I'm sure we'll scoop out plenty of leaves as the seasons winds down. And the vacuum quickly sucks up the stuff that sinks to the bottom. It's only been a week, so we're still in the "start up" phase, but with minimal maintenance this little pool is working great!! ... show more

  • Check you pump fittings and connectors before assembly of pool

I received the pool and they sent a sand filter instead of a regular filter. I was excited that this was a great value since the sand filter was included. I soon discovered that none of the hoses included would work with the filter that were sent and the instructionswere awful. I contacted Amazon for resolution and was told that since this is a third party seller that I either had to ask for a refund and send the 118 pound pool back for a refund or work with the seller. Amazon put me in touch with the seller since I didn't want to have to drain the pool I had already filled up to send it back. The seller repeatedly asked me for pictures of the hoses and the unit so their technician could assist me. After I sent six different photos showing that nothing fit I was given a number to the pools customer service people. They told me that the pool had been discontinued but that I could soak the hoses in hot water to make them fit the filter since they were too small. This didn't work so I gave up on resolution from the seller and bought new hoses out of pocket from a pool supply store. One of the hoses was different so I had to buy that part at a DIY store. The pool is still not working after over a week of me trying to work with the seller. I'm out another couple hundred bucks in parts and wasn't able to use the pool for my granddaughter's birthday party which was the entire reason I bought it. Definitely a disappointment. I hope others experiences will be better than mine. ... show more
