I usually don't recommend buying any EVSE that does not have a UL rating but after three of our GM UL approved portable EVSE's started overheating I decided to give a couple of these a try and I am glad I did! The 25' cords are very pliable and thick. Surprisingly good quality. One very key feature is the incredibly adjustable amperage output. This is a game changer and allows you to adjust to any situation you find yourself in. When using two EVSE's on my subpanel at the same time I can turn these down to as little 6 amps! The choices are 6,8,10,13,16,20,24,32 & 40! All of the output amperages test correctly. So far in two months they have both run cool and problem free. If your having trouble maintaining 40amps output you may be using a cheap quality $10.00 NEMA 14-50 receptacle which has too small of contacts. Try replacing the receptacle with a larger commercial duty Hubbell/Bryant NEMA 14-50 receptacle. The cheaper smaller receptacles are a safety and fire hazard as they can not handle the continuous use duty cycles of an EV, Considering they have sold over 200 of these EVSE's in the last month alone I would say the failure rate is very low. I will check back if anything changes. *Update 7/2/25. These are still working well however now that summer is here I noticed that the cords run very warm at 40 amps. It seems that they are only using 9awg wire instead of 8awg! (where do you even find 9awg?) It is listed right on the cords. These should NOT be run at 40 amps! I now limit the charge rate to 32 amps and all is well again. If you want it to last a long time you should run them at no higher than 32 amps as well.

We’ve been using this charger for Tesla Y since November and it’s been working perfectly. Fast charging, easy to use, and the display is clear. We set it to 24 amps because we have a 30A breaker — no issues at all. No overheating, no errors. Very happy with the purchase!

We have a 24' Rav4 Prime and charging it with the charger Toyota provided was dismal at best. This charges absurdly faster and having created a schedule to charge at night when it's cheaper has added some cost savings to our monthly electric bill. Installation was a breeze (we did have a 240V outlet preinstalled when we purchased our home). In the process of getting a second EV vehicle and will be buying a second charger soon.

Amazon is flagging my reviews of this product. Are sellers able to dispute reviews and get them removed? This is the cheapest level 2 for a reason. Doesn’t charge at the rate a level 2 should. Can’t hold 40 amps without throwing immediate errors so you can only charge at 32a. Barely getting 10 miles charged an hour and this is on a 2024 Silverado EV that can take in 80 amps.

This charger is not UL listed which is a safety concern. This charger worked great and charged my Mini cooper SE with no problem. I was able to set it to 26 amps so I could use an 30 amp drier 14-30 outlet (with an adapter) without tripping the breaker or exceeding the line rating to get level 2 charging. It was also helpful to be able to use the 12 amp setting to get faster level 1 charging when I was using a 110v outlet. The charger successfully charged at the 10,12, 24 and 40 amp settings. It seemed well built and I loved the adjustable amp settings but without it being UL listed I don’t feel safe leaving it plugged in all night drawing a lot of power as it seemed like it could be a fire hazard.

I have both EVs that uses J1772s and Teslas. At my previous home I had a Tesla wall connector installed. At this new home I wanted to save some money so decided to get this and plug it into a NEMA 15-50r outlet. It tops out at 32A, which was perfectly fine with me. That's about 30 miles per hour, which was plenty for my use because we only use EVs for around town. When going on long distances we take one of our ICE vehicles. It doesn't have any smart phone/WIFI features but that was exactly what I wanted. Something as simple as possible. While charging, it never gets hot. Matter of fact, it barely even gets warm. That's a great sign for me. The only thing that is a negative is that the cord itself is not 25ft. It's maybe 25ft if you measure the entire product, from plug to plug. But ideally you'd want to mount the unit onto a wall (and they do include a slide in holder to mount on the wall). And if you did that, you'll lose probably 3-4 feet. I haven't actually measured it, but I do know that comparing with my Tesla wall connector that had a 24' cord, both installed on the side wall of a garage in the middle, my Tesla wall connector can easily reach outside the garage door on the opposite end. This one cannot, it can only reach right up to the garage door on the opposite end, and not beyond. Both garages are same sized (roughly 420sf). Not a deal breaker for me though, but it might be for others.

I have ordered two of these hoping that the first one was just a fluke on not working. The charger works fine up to 24a but anything over that it errors out and stops working. We do have an EVA rated 50amp plug that it is plugged into. It worked on 32a for a couple weeks and then just stopped working on anything other than 24a which then only pushes around 5-6 kHz through. The cord length is the reason why I bought this one and why I didn’t return it the second time and just use it on 24a.
