The Euhomy 8k BTU air conditioner is surprisingly effective for a small-medium sized unit. It comes pretty well packaged, with hard cardboard framing and styrofoam buffers. It's pretty much usable out of the box, although you have to setup the window fitting first. The window mount is meant for sliding windows, so if you have hinged ones like me, you have to jerryrig a setup with plastic film, hardboard, or a separate stick on AC adapter kit. The AC is pretty nice and cooling. Something a bit different about it is you have to manually open and adjust the output vent. The control panel is on top and is pretty simple to adjust, with a bright LED number to indicate the target temperature. The fan output is pretty much just strong, and stronger. When it reaches a target temperature, it shuts off the compressor but the fan will still be running full speed. The timer can shut it off though. One thing I feel like is the temperature sensor isn't too accurate, as I set it to 74F, but the compressor still turns on and off when the room is 71F on the digital thermometer (away from the air conditioner). The overall device hums and gurgles quite a bit at a moderate volume so it's not quiet but also not that bad. It does push out quite cold air, but it may have a hard time lowering temperature by more than 10F. My night time room temperature (in a 20 x 15ft room) was 80F before I turned it on, outside was 55F. Turning it on for 3 hours was nice and cold while it was blowing (AC showed 74F, room temperature thermometer showed 71F), but within minutes after turning it off, the temperature gauge on the AC moved to 79~80F and room temperature thermostat read 76F. Unlike my 12k BTU unit, it has a little bit of a tough time lowering the whole room temperature to a stable level. While it's on, it's pretty nice though. I think it will have a tougher time when the temperature starts hitting the 90~100F, but if it's kept constantly on it should feel nice and cool in front of it.

EUHOMY 8,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner is a multifunctional unit that also dehumidifies and circulates air. The unit is pretty heavy at 50lbs but once it's out of the box, it has wheels making it easier to relocate and move around. it comes with everything that you need to get it up and running besides a screwdriver. Setup was pretty straight forward and easy to complete. It requires venting out of a window which was simple to screw on the screen and install into the window. Everything screwed together well and didn't take much effort. Operation is simple and it comes with a remote and batteries. It's a pretty quiet unit. It's definitely not whisper quiet but it's tolerable. We can still watch TV and sleep with it running on the other side of the room. It's keeping our master bedroom cool since it's the sunniest part of our house. It stays warm longer than the rest of the house. Overall, is conditioner is working as a reasonable solution for our heating problem. It's larger than I thought it would be but it's serving well so I can't complain. The only other concern will be how it affects our electric bill. Updates pending.
