This was a great choice. Looks nice and performs perfectly. I had not correctly measured the spot where I'd hoped to place it, so a temporary adjustment is working out for the time being. Please measure carefully, and do leave air space at sides, top and back (manual recommends 4"). The ENTIRE frame of the freezer is shrink wrapped...blue on the door, clear on the black box part. It's hard to see on the black part, but it is on there, and is a thick plastic to be peeled away. Once in place, as "the manual" says, I let it set for 24 hours before plugging in, to let the coolant stabilize from shipping and unpacking. Don't ever turn it on its side. I always read manuals and highlight those things that should be remembered. Before plugging in, the manual says to be sure the temperature dial is on "4" to start. Then adjustments can be made later for more or less freezing. Dial is located on the back, bottom left. Temperature "1" is warmest, "7" coldest. Put on Zero "0" to defrost when necessary. Also, as recommended, I first wiped down the inside with baking soda/water and then dried. There was absolutely NO odor of any kind before or after. When first plugged in, while initializing, the outside of the case gets hot. Don't put anything on top of it at this time. I set several water-filled cups and items inside to monitor the freezing process, and as soon as I felt it was cold enough, put some of my frozen foods inside. They have stayed rock-hard at the "4" setting! I'm surprised at how much can be placed inside. I have room to spare, and am really pleased with this quiet, efficient little freezer.

The size is perfect, it keeps foods frozen at the recommended setting, and it is attractive. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that it frosts up VERY quickly and there is frost on some of the packages. Not a deal breaker and I am happy with it. One other problem. I ordered the recommended tray to go under it, but the door doesn't open when it is on the tray. We solved that by raising the fridge with 2 pieces of wood. Now its fine.

Nice compact freezer, shipping was on time, freezer was "crated" / boxed securely. Holds temperature at zero to -10 degrees F Good price, I really appreciate it and really really like it. The only downside is that it's manual defrost, and if frosts up quicker than I would like.

Have used this freezer for three months now and am very satisfied with the quality and performance. It was easy to set up although the plastic coverings were somewhat of a struggle, but clearly there to protect the surfaces. Thus far frost accumulation is minimal. Have not needed to adjust the initial freezing level at all.

The unit itself works great but I have had this freezer less than a few weeks and it's already creating ice build up which means it will need defrosting often. I tried locating the knob to turn the cold temperature down a little and discovered the knob is in a very inconvenient place all the way in the back of the unit. The temp knob was set at 3, so I have turned it down to 2 in hopes that will reduce or emiminate the ice build up it's currently creating. Also note that there is no light so you may need to turn the light on in the house to see what you're getting at night. Aside from that, the unit works well. It is not very loud when it does go on. Ice cream stays frozen and the unit is pretty light weight.
