  • Very high-end professional system, priced for the home market !
Style: 4 Bullet-PTZ Cams w/2TB
After extensive research and wanting to set up my first ever home security camera system, I found what I believe to be is the best one, which is this Eufy 4K NVR system. I bought this along with the additional two-pack of S4 Max cameras for a total of six cameras. I didn't want to have to change batteries or run electrical to each camera, so a PoE system totally fit my needs. Probably the hardest part of the entire set-up was running all the cables from all the corners of my house, through the attic, down the pass-through to the basement to my tech box room under my stairs. Luckily, I did all of this in November of 2025 when the temperature in attic was very comfortable. I decided to use True CABLE Cat6A Direct Burial, Shielded FTP, Waterproof, Outdoor Rated CMX, White, 23AWG Solid Bare Copper, 750MHz, PoE++ (4PPoE),10Gbs max rated, ETL Listed, Bulk Ethernet Cable for the entire job. This was a bit overkill, but I figured that this would future proof the system for the rest of my life, giving it very high-power potential and amazing bandwidth potential. I made up my own ethernet ends with Cat6a rated shielded ends. Cat6a is a little hard to work with, but with practice, I was soon blasting all the wires and ends to their final conclusion. All the wires went to the tech room in the basement, into the NVR with a LAN connection to my Mesh Node Router which goes wirelessly to my Asus 11Gbs main router. Mounting the cameras was a snap and then simply clicking in the ethernet wires to the cameras, applying the supplied weatherproofing hook-up, aiming the fixed and the moveable cameras and done! I then followed the NVR set-up, which was very easy, and plugged in each camera's ethernet, one at a time, into the NVR and set each one up for motion activation with activity zones. The cameras came on-line within a minute of plugging them in as they are each plug-and-play enabled. After a couple of days of playing with the system and figuring out several things, it is working flawlessly. I used to work at a business that had a PTZ security system that cost tens-of-thousands of dollars; this one is actually better than that one. My total cost of the entire system, wiring, ends, tools to make the ends; was under $2,000. I luckily scored the Amazon black-Friday pricing on most of it. The features, capabilities, analytics, tracking, zooming and so on of this system is truly over the top. One tip for you all: I am using the Eufy App without the system being hard wired to a monitor or anything, but I wanted to view it not only on my phone in the app, but on my smart TV and computer. The best way to view it on your TV is to cast it from your phone to TV (if your TV has Chrome Cast or equivalent). To view on your computer, all the literature stated to go to Eufy.com, go to the support tab, and then go to the Web Portal. I found that to be erroneous. I found a tab under the Web Portal tab, called the NVR Portal. I clicked on that, put in my username and password and the system came right up on the computer. If you then double-click a picture, and click on the play-back button, all kinds of tabs and buttons come up for you to set up all the settings right on your computer, which is very handy, as the screen is so much bigger than on your phone using the app. ABSOLUTELY TOTALLY AMAZING SYSTEM, I CAN'T RECOMMEND IT ENOUGH !!! ... show more

  • Best NVR you can buy right now, hands down.
Style: 4 Bullet-PTZ Cams w/2TB
This security camera system is legit and the best part is there are no monthly subscriptions draining your wallet. You buy it, you set it up, and that is it. No recurring fees, no cloud storage charges, no nickel and diming you for features that should be included. Everything is stored locally on the NVR and you own your footage outright. The 4K quality is sharp and clear. I can actually see faces, license plates, and details that matter when you are reviewing footage. Cheaper cameras give you a blurry mess that is basically useless if you ever need to identify someone. This system captures real detail that would actually be helpful if something happened. What really impressed me is the intelligent AI zooming feature. The cameras track movement and keep people in frame automatically. So instead of just recording a wide static shot where someone walks through the corner of the screen, it follows them and keeps them centered. That means better footage of whoever or whatever triggered the motion detection. It is smart in a way that actually adds value rather than just being a marketing bullet point. Setup was not bad at all. The NVR walks you through the process and the cameras connected without drama. I am not a networking expert and I got everything operational in an afternoon. The app lets you check feeds remotely, review recordings, and get alerts when motion is detected. Interface is clean and responsive. Night vision is solid too. When it gets dark, the cameras switch over and still capture usable footage. Not that washed out grainy green stuff that some cameras produce. Actual visible detail even in low light conditions. That matters because most sketchy activity happens at night. I have cameras covering my driveway, front door, and backyard. The system handles multiple cameras without any lag or performance issues. Everything records smoothly and playback is instant when I need to review something. Storage on the NVR is generous so I am not constantly deleting old footage to make room. If you want a security system that works, looks clear, and does not charge you forever, this is it. The no subscription model alone makes it worth considering over competitors that lock features behind monthly payments. This just works out of the box and keeps working without asking for more money. ... show more

  • Great Company, Great Product… Just Works 🙏
Style: 4 Bullet-PTZ Cams w/2TB
I can’t say enough good things about this company and product. After years of research, I always landed back to Eufy. The product just works and the dual camera is amazing. One of my favorite features is that you can set a default view for the bottom camera so if the camera on the bottom ever moves because of activity somewhere else, once the activity is over, it will eventually return to its original position so because of that each camera really is essentially two of them. And the tracking feature with the bottom camera is unreal. Obviously there are no battery issues because it’s a wired system. I do recommend getting a UPS just to have that much more security. The app is very easy to use and we’re just overall very happy with it. I’m in the Apple ecosystem and the capability has been great. Also, my few interactions with Eufy customer service have also been phenomenal. Great company all around! ... show more

  • Excellent system (with a few caveats)
Style: 4 Bullet-PTZ Cams w/2TB
Great system if you can survive running Ethernet cables throughout the house. But once it's done, the system is rock solid. WiFi-deauth attacks from would-be high-tech porch pirates don't work. I wish the software allowed you to snooze notifications for a period of time versus "alerts off/alerts on." Killing the alerts when the lawn is being mowed and then forgetting to re-engage for a week is obnoxious. I could not get the captured screw system on the mounts to screw into the camera chassis. Ended up double-zip tying every camera to the mount--worked but not elegant. The entire mounting system need completely reengineered. The mounts do not allow enough clearance/articulation for the Ethernet cable to snake through. A.I. detection and PTZ tracking is pretty awesome 😎 ... show more

  • Great system!
Style: 4 Bullet-PTZ Cams w/2TB
This DVR camera system is all they advertise! Install is easy enough, running and hiding hte wires is the only slightly tricky thing. setup was straightforward, the AI is cool - the cameras will detect and snap to anything in range - and track it. It will identify people you name, picks out pets, vehicles, the mailman, etc. The app could be a little clearer to use, but once you figure it out it's easy. ... show more

  • Great quality!
Style: 4 Bullet-PTZ Cams w/2TB
I would rate this 4.5 stars but the reason I’m giving it 5 is because I knew some of the limitations of this system. Pros: fast controls, excellent image quality, excellent tracking, great AI detection and recognition, great eufy App, so many cameras and being able to point the ptz a different direction than the top wide camera provides more coverage, NVR runs quiet and cool and is very responsive Cons: no HomeKit or Matter integration, small included hard drive (I upgraded to 8TB Seagate Nighthawk AI HD which suits my needs), no good web portal/can’t access the NVR unless it’s plugged directly into into a monitor which can be a pain if you mount it somewhere out of the way Overall this is a great system, just know that you are going to want to put it somewhere easily accessible and if you are away you are relying solely on the app to control. ... show more

  • Needs Work
Style: 4 Bullet-PTZ Cams w/2TB
The cameras and NVR hardware seem to be of *ok* quality. Camera housings and brackets are plastic. Brackets are easy to install with clear instructions. NVR's GUI is sluggish, with lag switching between menus and screens and the occasional lock ups if you choose higher resolutions other than the recommended. Cameras are slow to focus while zooming and exhibit jerkiness when moving left or right. Audio from the cameras tends to cut in and out, Eufy support claims they cannot reproduce it. One way to save footage is through the USB port, which is inconveniently placed on the rear of the case. The 2 TB hard drive is wimpy for a system like this. If you plan on keeping more than two weeks of footage, you'll want to go with 8TB or higher or switch to event only recordings. The AI often recognizes chairs, basketball hoops, and insects as pets. Data cables supplied with the cameras are cheap CAT5. If you plan on running cable vertically in walls, you should use CAT6 riser. I will update this review if I discover new issues and when I find out if these cameras will actually operate below -4 F temperatures. If you don't want be a beta tester, I would wait for the bugs to be squashed before buying this kit. Note: If you live in Alaska, you cannot purchase this or any other camera from eufy.com as they will not ship to Alaska. 8/25/2025: I just installed the add on E41 Turret Camera and it displays dark horizontal bars that scroll from top to bottom of the live feed under my installed fluorescent lamps. 10/06/2025: When the product was first released, firmware updates came often. There's been no updates within the past 3 to 4 weeks, it's as if they gave up on the product, or they think everything is just fine, but it's not. I've submitted comments and suggestions but nothing has come of it. If this system was so smart, you would think that it could tell the difference between a chair and a dog. 12/05/2025 - I can now confirm the cameras continue to operate at -17°F but not without complications. At or below these temperatures, the white balance is hit or miss and they do seem to have trouble coming out of infrared mode when it gets lighter outside. The weak point of this system is the NVR's processing hardware and graphics software, it's quite weak and continues to be sluggish even after multiple firmware updates. 02/08/2026 - A couple of weeks ago audio stop coming from my monitor. I have to reboot the NVR to get audio but will quit again after a certain amount of time until I restart the NVR. By the way, I have a monitor with speakers connected via an HDMI cable. ... show more
