I first bought the Eufy robot vacuum mop and OMG I love it works great user friendly and customer service was top notch I had a issue with it and only had to email them and they resolved the issue quickly and conveniently. Then my Reolink outdoor wired cameras went out after a year they just stopped working so I decided I was gonna replace them with the Eufy security S4 Max because of my love for my Eufy clean system. AND I AM SO HAPPY WITH THESE, The price was a little more than the Reolink system but it is 100% worth it these ones have basically multi cameras in one they track movement and have sound and lighting options. User friendly plug and play. It recognizes people so you won't get alerts for people who live with you it recognizes animals and labels it. App is very easy and it is 1 app for my clean and security best products I have ever used and it costs me nothing to monitor. Couldn't be happier with these products. ... show more

Being on my 5th security system because of better equipment upgrades, such as bnc to poe,1080p to 2k to 4k cameras, This is it. The AI is really really good, follows people, animals on all of my property. The color night vision is my best so far, although I have street and alley lights. The camera picture clarity is spectacular. Eufys setup took a day for me to find all the fine tuning I needed being not used to thier format. I know this a little pricey but the qualiy and coverage for 4 cameras is well worth it. My last system I had 6 cams and 2 ptz's, $1100 into it from 5 years ago. Eufy nvr does not offer wifi integration into the nvr, hopefully there will a update to fix this problem. Update: 4 months of winter and still going strong. I have noticed that they have a very limited vertical view upwards on the ptz past 50 feet on 8x zoom, for example at 1x zoom you can see a full sized tree at 250 feet but at 8x as far up you can go you are only 5 feet off the ground and my cams are at least 10 feet up. It took alot of trial and error to set the nvr to display zones and motion detection to my liking. The pc software is crappy, WYSIWYG, no zoom, this system was made for a phone or tablet and the pc was an after thought. NO UPDATES, such as adding a eufy wifi camera to the nvr and their system is closed to adding onvif cameras, so i will have to run another wire to add to this system for now. ... show more

Very high-end professional system, priced for the home market !

After extensive research and wanting to set up my first ever home security camera system, I found what I believe to be is the best one, which is this Eufy 4K NVR system. I bought this along with the additional two-pack of S4 Max cameras for a total of six cameras. I didn't want to have to change batteries or run electrical to each camera, so a PoE system totally fit my needs. Probably the hardest part of the entire set-up was running all the cables from all the corners of my house, through the attic, down the pass-through to the basement to my tech box room under my stairs. Luckily, I did all of this in November of 2025 when the temperature in attic was very comfortable. I decided to use True CABLE Cat6A Direct Burial, Shielded FTP, Waterproof, Outdoor Rated CMX, White, 23AWG Solid Bare Copper, 750MHz, PoE++ (4PPoE),10Gbs max rated, ETL Listed, Bulk Ethernet Cable for the entire job. This was a bit overkill, but I figured that this would future proof the system for the rest of my life, giving it very high-power potential and amazing bandwidth potential. I made up my own ethernet ends with Cat6a rated shielded ends. Cat6a is a little hard to work with, but with practice, I was soon blasting all the wires and ends to their final conclusion. All the wires went to the tech room in the basement, into the NVR with a LAN connection to my Mesh Node Router which goes wirelessly to my Asus 11Gbs main router. Mounting the cameras was a snap and then simply clicking in the ethernet wires to the cameras, applying the supplied weatherproofing hook-up, aiming the fixed and the moveable cameras and done! I then followed the NVR set-up, which was very easy, and plugged in each camera's ethernet, one at a time, into the NVR and set each one up for motion activation with activity zones. The cameras came on-line within a minute of plugging them in as they are each plug-and-play enabled. After a couple of days of playing with the system and figuring out several things, it is working flawlessly. I used to work at a business that had a PTZ security system that cost tens-of-thousands of dollars; this one is actually better than that one. My total cost of the entire system, wiring, ends, tools to make the ends; was under $2,000. I luckily scored the Amazon black-Friday pricing on most of it. The features, capabilities, analytics, tracking, zooming and so on of this system is truly over the top. One tip for you all: I am using the Eufy App without the system being hard wired to a monitor or anything, but I wanted to view it not only on my phone in the app, but on my smart TV and computer. The best way to view it on your TV is to cast it from your phone to TV (if your TV has Chrome Cast or equivalent). To view on your computer, all the literature stated to go to Eufy.com, go to the support tab, and then go to the Web Portal. I found that to be erroneous. I found a tab under the Web Portal tab, called the NVR Portal. I clicked on that, put in my username and password and the system came right up on the computer. If you then double-click a picture, and click on the play-back button, all kinds of tabs and buttons come up for you to set up all the settings right on your computer, which is very handy, as the screen is so much bigger than on your phone using the app. ABSOLUTELY TOTALLY AMAZING SYSTEM, I CAN'T RECOMMEND IT ENOUGH !!! ... show more

Buggy NVR, terrible AI support, great human support willing to make things right.

It's defective. The unit appears to have some POE issues. First, let's talk about their customer support. My initial impressions are awful. They have opted to use AI to waste our time when we call. When it finally decides it can't help, it'll try and fail to transfer you to a person. Then it tells you to call back in a few hours. When I asked for a callback or to wait on hold, it told me those services weren't available. That's not true. If you get an AI, just keep calling back until you don't. Ok, as for the product, it's defective. I think there's some hardware issue with the POE. I bought the version that had two cameras in addition to the standard package of 4 for a total of 6 cameras. I initially got the first four cameras working, but then two stopped working right after updating the firmware. I thought perhaps the cameras were messed up by the update, but that's not the case. I tried swapping cameras and swapping the cable without any luck. Unplugging and plugging back in doesn't help. When plugging the cameras in one by one slowly, I found that after the second or third, plugging in additional cameras will often cause the last camera plugged in to momentarily stop sending data (data light stops blinking). After that, it won't matter how many times you plug or unplug any additional cameras, they won't do anything. The only thing that works is to unplug all the cameras and plug them in again, and again, and again, and again, until you get them all working. That's painful with the four I've installed. It would be worse with all six that I currently own. But then you're only good to go until the system reboots, and cameras will randomly come back up... or they won't. {UPDATE} I've worked with a few representatives now and they've all exceeded my expectations, so that's good. I was sent a new unit (and an extra camera for my trouble). The new NVR behaves much better. It still has the issue of random cameras failing to come back up after a reboot, but unlike the last NVR, unplugging and plugging in the cameras ONCE appears to resolve the issue. This isn't ideal, but it it's something I'm willing to live with for now given how well the system works when it IS up. And... given my free camera! I suppose a future firmware update may fix this, or perhaps the use an external POE switch, or perhaps I'll try pulling new wire. I'll experiment more and let you know if I figure out what the issue is, or a fair workaround. I really hope they get all the kinks worked out of this unit, because other than the glitch above and considering my snow blower a pet, it's a fantastic system! ... show more

I wouldn’t recommend these camera or anything that is made by Eufy. I bought these cameras because the reviews were good like how I could get my whole property covered. Well I’ve had these cameras up for about 3 months now and 2 of them stop working. The ptz cameras stop working and just sake and I get no connection through the app. No big deal there under warranty so I’ll call eufy support. Well ever time I try calling there call volume is too big and unable to speak to a representative. Eufy did email about a warranty claim I sent them everything they ask me to do and still haven’t heard nothing back. I don’t know what to do or who to get in contact with so I guess I guess paid 1600 for camera that don’t work and feel like eufy doesn’t care about me as a customer. So I would not recommend any eufy products just because their customer service is extremely poor and the quality of the cameras are not that good. More than likely I will be taking them down and put up another brand because I dont think eufy going to help me out with a warranty replacement. ... show more

This security camera system is legit and the best part is there are no monthly subscriptions draining your wallet. You buy it, you set it up, and that is it. No recurring fees, no cloud storage charges, no nickel and diming you for features that should be included. Everything is stored locally on the NVR and you own your footage outright. The 4K quality is sharp and clear. I can actually see faces, license plates, and details that matter when you are reviewing footage. Cheaper cameras give you a blurry mess that is basically useless if you ever need to identify someone. This system captures real detail that would actually be helpful if something happened. What really impressed me is the intelligent AI zooming feature. The cameras track movement and keep people in frame automatically. So instead of just recording a wide static shot where someone walks through the corner of the screen, it follows them and keeps them centered. That means better footage of whoever or whatever triggered the motion detection. It is smart in a way that actually adds value rather than just being a marketing bullet point. Setup was not bad at all. The NVR walks you through the process and the cameras connected without drama. I am not a networking expert and I got everything operational in an afternoon. The app lets you check feeds remotely, review recordings, and get alerts when motion is detected. Interface is clean and responsive. Night vision is solid too. When it gets dark, the cameras switch over and still capture usable footage. Not that washed out grainy green stuff that some cameras produce. Actual visible detail even in low light conditions. That matters because most sketchy activity happens at night. I have cameras covering my driveway, front door, and backyard. The system handles multiple cameras without any lag or performance issues. Everything records smoothly and playback is instant when I need to review something. Storage on the NVR is generous so I am not constantly deleting old footage to make room. If you want a security system that works, looks clear, and does not charge you forever, this is it. The no subscription model alone makes it worth considering over competitors that lock features behind monthly payments.
