    • SO FAR, A GREAT, EASY-TO-INSTALL VIDEO SECURITY SYSTEM
I recently purchased this system to replace a 10-year-old, fully-wired (power and video feeds) outdoor-only system, that was consistently problematic in both the ability to remotely monitor the cameras, and, repeated failures in the two different power supplies that ran this system. With this new system, I only needed to worry about having accessible power outlets around the outside of the house. Fortunately, in both my front and rear yards, I had exterior outlet boxes that I was able to tap in to and extend to dedicated outlets to feed these new cameras. Now, I understand that not everybody has the same electrician skill sets that I do, in that I am able to do my own electrical work and install new conduit, wiring, and outlets to where these new cameras were going to be located... so, if that is your situation, it might be more difficult for you to successfully install these outside your home or business. But, in my case, I was able to, and now have a 6-camera system around my home, all without the cumbersome and unsightly cabling that my previous system required. Aside from the caveat that electrical outlets are required within about 6 feet of each camera, I can otherwise HIGHLY RECOMMEND this particular system! It's fairly easy to install, and simple to pair-up any additional cameras (above and beyond the 4 cameras that come pre-paired with your system). The one "design flaw" that I had to deal with was that they require you to use a small Allen wrench (included) to lock each camera into place... yet, they put the head of the Allen bolt in a position on the camera such that the fitting for the wireless antenna is obviously in the way! (All they had to do was to reverse the position of the locking bolt, making the head of the Allen screw on the opposite side instead, and the problem would be non-existent! By not having done so, camera-position locking gets a bit tricky, and frustrating at times. Again, this system is otherwise highly recommended! ... show more

Tested the wifi strength using cell phone at the designated locations. Then got the outlets wired and live. Tried to pair all cameras following instructions and can never find any of them. Manual says they come factory paired but after hours of trying all ways and still failed, decided to try hard wire with ethernet. Then it finally found the cameras. They were never paired thus a 4 star. Paired all cameras using ethernet cable, very straight forward. Installed at locations, adjusted view range and angle and installed app. Its live and running good so far with good image quality. I like that it will record 24/7 for more than a month before i have to backup files and format the drive. The app allows me to check the house from where ever. Now just playing with different options to match my needs. Im happy with the product and the price. ... show more

Love this system, it works well and just the right size for my desk. The pictures are great for day and night vision. Living in the desert we have wildlife visiting our yard and it's so fun to watch them roaming around. I haven't set all the motion and recording times up yet, that's for another day. i liked that the cameras still plugged into electricity but transmitted to the unit via signal (2 second delay) and it still had another plugin avaliable to the ethernet cord so that i could access the footage from phone which im not i just like them CCTV. The image is clear, the screen is fully adjustable 360 degrees around and 180 degrees opening so it also isnt a heavy unit and the signal is good. ... show more

    • Easy Camera Pairing, the rest is a horrible system

All camera's worked in the house before install, after all day installing wiring in the garage ceiling and through the walls of the house (lots of work), got the system up and running, 1 the email setup says fails to connect for an hour straight, never got it working. 2 the human detection does not work, camera would go off with nothing detected set to the lowest detection even when I blocked out all tree's ect, the beeper on the nvr and app would go off every few minutes, after the 1st day I turned off all notifications. The 1080 p camera's are horrible, a video of my self I would do a screen shot and I could not tell it was me, its blurry and If you had to show the police ect, no one could tell who is in the video, 4 trying to find a recorded video of a person takes hours as there is no rime or reason to finding it (good luck there), I can see the mail man on the screen but could never see any human on recording which is the most important part of the security, recordings are of nothing on the hard drive, no human ever found, the software is a nightmare to operate. After a few days i decided to return the system but it took me all day to install the power cords, I took down the camera's for return and left all the plug in wiring as it would take me all day again to take it all down, I hoping a new and better system will take the same plug in wiring so I don't have to do it again and rewire everything, I went by the reviews on this system and that was a huge mistake. after googling systems and a lot more research I ordered a system that hopefully will be better, it's a lot of work setting them up to find out they are junk, hopefully this helps someone as all reviews will say something is junk but this one truly is.     • Terrible interface
On screen menu is too small , hard to set up functions . Overly complicated controls . Need to subscribe to view thru Wi-Fi . It works great if it were easier to use . No reason for it to be so complicated to set up . I wouldn’t buy it again .
