But unless you are going to spend $600 or more for some name. So get a grip. I also installed a catalytic high flow converter at the same time. Welded one joint instead of clamping. Super simple. I drive a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited with the 4.0 inline 6 engine. Overall this exhaust system is great and for the money it was perfect for what I needed. My old exhaust system was rusted and had holes in the muffler which caused there to not be enough back pressure which ended up in the engine running rich. After thinking about it I decided to replace it with this one. For me it wasn't too hard to replace it, however I have some experience with vehicles and metalwork, I also had access to a shop, car lift, and plenty of tools. I ended up having to use a air chisel, reciprocating saw, a pipe expander, as well as a MIG welder to tack weld the pipes in place since the clamps that come with it aren't enough to keep it solid. So if you have no experience with any of those tools this might be a bit of an undertaking. If it seems like too much you may need to take it to a shop where they can properly install it, so just keep that in mind. Another reason I have to say that I replaced it is because in all honesty I felt the stock exhaust made the engine sound lackluster for what power it had, so that is one reason why I changed it and I have to say I'm not disappointed. I also included a before and after video of the exhaust just for reference of look and sound. Pros- great deep sound helped with my gas mileage Improved my throttle response Great value Cons- modification of parts may be needed You might need access to certain tools and equipment fit may not be exact

Noticeable loss of performance on my Jeep WJ Grand Cherokee. The 2-1/4" tailpipe is too restrictive compared to the stock 2-1/2". Sounds pretty good, nice exhaust tip, but low-end torque diminished on my 4.7L V8.

I am shocked on how nice this kit is!! It’s all stainless and not that “ stainless coated crap” the quality is amazing for the price everything went right together. The only thing I did buy to add to this kit is a 2-1/2 to 2-1/4 stainless reducer and a 2-1/2 clamp . Put this in a 2004 Jeep grand Cherokee. It’s got a good sound nice deep and throaty but is not load in the cab at all just perfect took less than 40 minutes to install .

The tailpipe or extension between cat and muffler should of been longer. I've done exhaust for decades as a mechanic, and only having 1 1/2 inches of pipe on and in a muffler in my professional isn't enough to make a good enough clamping or seal. The tailpipe was moved as far as it could, so not helping there with length,The other thing I didn't like and wasn't expecting was it's only 2 1/4 inch. I just installed a system in my 99 xj 4.0 and that was 2 1/2 This kit being labeled as also fitting a V8 shouldn't have been 2 1/4 pipe and muffler size. I had to expand the adapter off the cat from the 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 bottle necking the system. This should of been a bigger sized. Flange broke in no time on muffler causing it to leak. Very low quality material.
