I bought this temperature gun after seeing one recommended in a lot of YT videos about using a Blackstone griddle. It's very handy for finding the hottest and cooler areas, getting a good idea of the temperatures of each heat setting, and how long it takes to preheat to a certain temperature. I have no way of testing its accuracy other than the reaction of foods, but it seems pretty accuracy judging by that. It's very easy to use. I use this infrared thermometer several times a week with my Blackstone grill and deep fryer. With the deep fryer, I have verified the temperature using a prolonged cooking thermometer and it showed the same reading on both devices. Great buy and well worth the money.

    • Works great and was very useful for tracking down heating and cooling problems in a new house.
We're dealing with 14 foot ceilings but this was easy to use and made it easy to find out where the heat and cooling was coming from and where it was going to. We quickly found that one wall in our new house had almost no insulation in it and was causing all of the rooms on that side of the house to be excessively hot in the summer. Every household should have one of these. It's as basic as a thermometer but lets you check the temperatures of ceilings, walls, air vents and other things without having to use a ladder! ... show more
