Plug into any standard 120V/15A household outlet and you’re ready to entertain. You also have the option to convert to a 240V electrical unit allowing your heater to perform at its maximum on the coldest days, which we recommend having professionally installed by an electrician. This molded spa is made from quality colored granite resin that features a fully insulated interior allowing your spa to retain optimum heat from your Balboa all-season stainless steel heater all year long. The Newport spa also comes with a heavy-duty, insulated tapered cover with locking clips allowing you to easily & comfortably close your spa while not in use.     • Nice spa, getting delivery date was time consuming.
Our spa arrived yesterday and our delivery team was FANTASTIC! I ordered this January 9th and was immediately given a delivery date of March 24th. About a month after placing the order I got an email saying that delivery date could not be met, it would be April 28-May 5th and would I like to cancel. When I attempted to cancel (because I had found one locally) I was told I couldn't because it already shipped??? After several rounds of calls and emails I was told they run your card to make sure you have the funds before building the spa so may show it shipped when it hasn't but still couldn't give me a delivery date. This was frustrating because the original listing said we were responsible for unloading the spa from the delivery truck so I would have to make arrangements to have people here to unload it. A few weeks later I got an email telling me the spa had shipped and the freight company would contact me in a few days to set up delivery. After a week no one had contacted me so again I inquired and was given the name & number for the freight company and an order number and told to feel free to contact them. I called and spent 40 minutes on the phone to finally find out it was handed off to another freight company for it's final leg of the trip. I got their number, called and within a few minutes had the delivery date. March 24th, the date I was originally given. All that hassle to get the original date. The spa arrived and I was happy to see 2 young fellas who along with my two had no problem unloading the 350# spa and setting it in place. We unwrapped it before they left and it was in good shape. We were grateful for the delivery men and tipped them generously. My husband set it up and we enjoyed it this morning. While the hassle part of this transaction was frustrating I understand demand for spas is high due to the pandemic and some companies are overwhelmed. The spa was in the price range we wanted to spend and we are happy with it. We were surprised to see we had lights which weren't in the original listing so bonus. We are 2 full size people so not a 3-4 person spa for us which is no problem because this is for us alone to enjoy. I took one star for the hours I spent trying to pin someone down on delivery, otherwise would have given 5 stars. ... show more

This is our third hot tub. Our first was one of those 8-foot monsters that required 220V and was bought at a hot tub store. We sold that with our house. Our second was a "Plug and Play" Softub which lasted nearly 20 years, before the vinyl liner cracked and the pump died. We liked the "plug and play" aspect, but didn't want another vinyl liner tub - they wrinkle! This STRONG INDUSTRIES model is a nice size, great for two people, possibly a third on occasion. Not a lot of fancy features, just a good basic tub and made of roto-molded plastic, like a kayak. Pretty indestructible and no wrinkles! It took about 10 weeks to deliver but the delivery company was great - moved it right into place. I filled it with water and plugged it in and the next day we had a hot tub! No leaks or problems - worked find right out of the gate. This unit is set up for 110V plug-and-play, but CAN be wired to 220V which is supposedly more efficient. I may go that route down the road. It's very easy to take care of, but a little taller than our old Softub, so we ordered a plastic Rubbermaid step stool here on Amazon - works fine! One nice feature - it has a drain tube. You can drain the water through a hose that is coiled up in the mechanical cabinet. No need for pumps or buckets! This is handy if you go away for a month or so and don't want to leave it running. Very pleased with the product and have had no downsides. The communication with Amazon about delivery was a little difficult, but once it was in the hands of the shipping company they were great. We ordered this product in March and it was delivered in May. It was worth the wait!! We already knew we wanted this tub because we vacationed in the mountains and this was the same hot tub we had used. My husband found it on amazon. It was a steal for $3,000! It’s perfect for 3 slim people or 2 healthy people lol. Lights are great, jets are awesome! The only reason I would deduct a star is because of the shipping company! They were awful. Didn’t knock on my door to tell me it was here so I walk outside and see my hot tub on the side of my house tilted on its side!! I was livid, I didn’t even know it had been delivered, a courtesy knock would have been nice. I called the company to complain and they gave me the run around.     • Great plug and play system and delivered ahead of schedule.
Save some money by not including the GFIC plug to the unit. If you are using it outdoors, you will have a GFIC receptacle already installed by code in most states. If you don't have a GFIC receptacle to plug into, one can easily and cheaply inserted by an electrician.
