Why did you pick this product vs others?: I liked the minimalist design which is what drew me at first, however the product is not as sturdy as I expected. I performs quite well but I specfically chose this one because of the limited options I have on my dash. This phone holder holds my phone at an awkward angle that no other phone holder can because of it, however because of that when I come to a bump the base swivel may shift if I hit a bump. Additionally, I did not notice/realize it also has an additional magsafe so if your spouse or another individuals frequently drives your car you can slap the sticker to their phone so it holds if their phones does not have magsafe capabilities. Works well: The magnet is very strong and requires tilting the head to pull your phone off. This is not a problem for me since the magnet swivel is very easy to rotate by hand but not so easy that it moves if going over a bump. ... show more

Quite an incredible phone holder and it holds tight but the unique ring feature that puts a small very flush ring under the iPhone cover in the back is special tothat one holder and other phnes need the same ring not just a metal plate - so the holder is best suited for one or two phones (number of rings provided) - given all that - the attachment is so strong you can type of hit keys while moving and do it safely - it a good buy ... show more

If all you need is a strong magnet, this is it. It is so strong it stuck to my phone rather than staying in the holder when I tried to pull my phone off. It also pulled out the piece of dash I adhered it to. It didn’t hold my phone steady. It kept slipping down and sideways. I got this for a new to me vehicle for a cross country roadtrip. I really wanted to like this ESR MagSafe phone holder because I already own an ESR iPad case that I absolutely love. Unfortunately, this holder was a complete disappointment. I followed the instructions exactly—waited the full 24 hours before using it after sticking it to the dash. The next morning, it was already on the floor. I tried again, this time placing it on a Popsocket base to give it a smoother surface, and once again, after 24 hours, it fell off. I never even got the chance to actually use it while driving. On the positive side, the design is sleek, customizable, and very adjustable. The magnet is also strong—it holds onto my Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 firmly when using my Torras Ostand Q3 spin case. However, because of the stand on the case and the phone’s weight, it ends up engaging the stand and pointing my phone toward the floor. Even if I switched to a regular MagSafe case, it wouldn’t matter because the mount itself just won’t stay stuck to anything. Bottom line: this is exactly the kind of product I wanted, but it’s useless if it won’t stick to the dash or any surface. A real letdown, especially compared to my great experience with ESR’s iPad case. ... show more
