As others have said it can be challenging to install. Make sure to know exactly what angle the screw will be at and align properly. It took me about 10 tries with the first corner and fewer with each following attempt. Last one only took a couple tries. No complaints, great price and we've now added a cargo tray to it. Very satisfied, fit my 2019 Soul with no issues. Look for YouTubes and reviews with detailed steps as well

Giving 4 out of 5 stars due to difficulty of installation on the vehicle. Installation was on a 2014 KIA Soul Base model without rails. Solid product that feels sturdy once installed and looks pretty good. All the parts fit together well and the rack itself is fairly easy to assemble with minimal tools. I would suggest using a heavier duty hex wrench instead of the one that comes with the product because the one it ships with can get stripped out pretty easily if you use too much torque to tighten the bolts. The main issue that arose was actually bolting the roof rack into the car. Once the entire piece is assembled, you basically cannot see where the bottom of the bolt is going down into the hole in your roof, so it is an act of blind luck to get the bottom of the bolt to line up with the hole it needs to go into. I nearly quit the install and shipped this back several times due to this. I would strongly suggest fitting the screws in first and then using make up/dry erase marker/grease pencil/masking tape to mark the center of the bolt hole to the side so that you can do your best to estimate and line up the bolt inside the rack as you try to fasten the mount to your roof. It took me a few tries, but after marking this spot I was able to get it to work and fasten down tightly. So far it works well for what I need it for, which is mounting a ski rack so I don't have to carry my skis inside the vehicle any longer when I travel in the mountains. Have gone on a few trips so far and the rack is still holding steady. Overall very good product for the money, just a bit of a headache to get it installed.

The first picture is from their very brief flyer that had no instructions. Notice that there is no washer shown. The second photo is from my installation. A washer was supplied with no instructions and should be inserted between the head of the vertical bolt that screws into the roof of the car and the plastic tower . See picture three for final position. Note that I could not place the mounting pads evenly over the rubber strip in the roof. The bolts screw in at a slight inward angle and pull the mounting pad so that is even with the INSIDE of the rubber strip in the roof, no matter how I adjusted the length of the bars. I ended up setting the width for the front cross bar at about #3 on each side and for the rear crossbar about #1/2. Since I was alone, I had to keep going up ladders on either side of the car to get even a rough idea of the settings. In order to slide the tongue of the plastic locking cover piece into the mechanism, (#4) I had to sand the edges of the tongue a little. There were little pieces of plastic hanging off the edges that kept it from sliding in so I could lock it. The installation would have been simple had there been instructions and photos that went to the model i was installing. The box featured illustrations of crossbeams that attach to the roof rack of car, not the fixed point attachments which this rack has.

The racks seemed of good quality but one needs to be a magician to get the screws to line up. At least that was the case on my 2024 Kia Soul. I would not recommend for that vehicle.

The crossbars I purchased were specifically designed for my 2022 Kia Soul with the flat roof mounting points. It is very disappointing to unpack all the components and discover that the bolts provided do not even clear through the mounting bracket. I now have to go to a hardware store to find the same threaded bolts that are of the proper length to pass through the brackets and reach the mounting holes in the frame of the roof. The components themselves seem to be made of good quality materials but why are the provided bolts too short?? Follow up- seller immediately reached out via messages and addressed the issue. They sent me the extension screws and included longer screws. The crossbars installed perfectly onto the roof of my vehicle and is nice and solid. The seller provided outstanding customer service and made things right! I upgraded my rating to 5 star.
