  • Great 3 in 1!
Color: Black
This is my second Epson 3 in 1. The first one I had lasted 15 years with minor maintainance. Ink is a little expensive of course that may be because of school age kids and my wife’s real-estate business.

  • Worst printer ever, worst seller
Color: Black
I purchased this in March 2023...the printer completely failed by May 2023. I probably used it a handful of times. Keep getting fatal error code 30061. Amazon was no help since it was "after return window" the seller Global CR sold me junk and now I have to find a way to get a hold of them since Epson won't honor the warranty without their involvement. Lesson learned, don't ever buy electronics from 3rd party sellers. ... show more

  • Good printer
Color: Black
This is a review of the Epson Work Force Pro WF-4833 How I rate my reviewed items: Personal preference or comments about the instructions do not affect the star rating. 5 Stars – I found no faults with the item. 4 Stars – The item functions well but could be improved. 3 Stars – The item does work as intended but with some difficulty and needs improvement. 2 Stars – The item sort of works as intended but has several limitations or a major fault. 1 Star – The item either does not work properly, is very difficult to use, and, in my opinion, not worth purchasing. Summary: Speedy All-in-One Color Inkjet Printer with very good print and photo quality but with limits on 5G Wi-Fi capability. Details: 1. Setup was, mostly, easy. The only problem, and not everyone will have this issue, was trying to use a 2.4G/5G Wi-Fi router setting. Needed to be on the 2.4G Wi-Fi. For details about the 5G Wi-Fi issue, see Wi-Fi details at the end of this review. 2. Only works on 5G Wi-Fi if very close to router. 3. Print quality is very good and speedy. 4. Relatively quiet printing. 5. Scanning is reasonably fast. 6. Copying is reasonably fast. 7. The automatic document feeder works well. 8. I do not have photo grade paper to properly test the photo print quality. Using regular copy and print paper did produce very good prints. I tried to show the quality of a photo printed on plain paper but could not get an accurate picture of the printout. The picture I printed was a 1816x2217 pixel 96 dpi picture with a bit depth of 24. I printed that picture on 8 ½ x 11 plain paper. Considering plain paper was used, I consider the print quality to be very good. From the time I clicked print till the printing was completed required about 63 seconds over a 2.4G Wi-Fi connection. 9. Two-sided printing works well. 10. Two-sided scanning works well. 11. The scanning app allows you to save several different scanning setups. For instance, I created a saved setup for scanning checks that sets the document source as the scanner glass, the document size to 8.50 x 4.00 in, image type to Auto, Resolution to 300 dpi, image format to JPEG, a default file name, and the folder to put the file in. Really convenient. 12. I was unable to test the FAX capability. Wi-Fi Details: Although this printer is 5G Wi-Fi capable, I am unable to use the 5G and must use the 2.4G Wi-Fi. My router is a Netgear Nighthawk® AX12 RAX120. This router is 5G WLAN a/n/ac/ax capable as well as 2.4G WLAN b/g/n/ax capable. The printer does connect to 5G and receives an IP address. The printer also indicates the signal strength is excellent. The printer network test indicates that all test passed; However, I cannot use 5G to print. I tried a continuous ping command and noticed I got a reply only about 15 to 20% of the time on 5G but get replies 100% of the time on 2.4G. Upon spending a lot of time trying to make it work, I contacted Epson support through their web site, and finally spent about 45 minutes on the phone with support. Support agreed that I should returned to my place of purchase and exchanged the printer for another one. The new printer acted exactly the same way. I have a desktop computer that is inside my computer desk, and near the floor, that works extremely well on 5G, showing over 800Mbps for a Wi-Fi receive and transmit speed. This computer is about 7 feet further away from the router and the signal has to go through the desk top and the side panel of the enclosed computer space that the printer does not have to contend with. Using a phone app to check the signal strength showed between 58 and 59 dbm at the printer, which is in the green band. For reference 60 dbm is the dividing line between the green band and the yellow band, so my signal should be fine. Moving the printer around, and into another room closer to the router, did not improve the results. I finally placed the printer in the room my router is in. The printer then worked on 5G. This is a laundry room in the center of my house and the router is on a shelf near the ceiling. The printer cannot be placed there and it is not practical to move the router. Bottom line, if you really want to put this printer on a 5G Wi-Fi network, it needs to be very close to the router. My opinion, Epson 5G networking is poor in this printer. ... show more

  • I guess it works
Color: Black
This printer NEEDS to be off when it's not used. The printer heads will clot up with ink if it's left on all the time. When the printer shuts off, it runs through a self cleaning process and prevents the clogging from ink. Next, NEVER DO A FIRMWARE UPDATE! This will only be relevant advice to those of you who realized that the off-brand ink works just as well and can save you about 40%. Well, as soon as I did the firmware update, the first error code said that the ink cartridge was not recognized. That was a $60 mistake...because I needed to make copies of papers TODAY with the ink that was working YESTERDAY, however the firmware now doesn't recognize the ink that it's been using for months. Now I have to hope and pray that these wonderful $60 ink cartridges will be recognized and the firmware isn't just completely ruined and stuck on error code. I also have to trash the backup ink that I already have, a good $40 in the garbage, and I also have to buy epson ink going forward. This printer was excellent before the company got greedy and altered the firmware to reject off-brand ink. Absolutely ridiculous. It's going to cost me $100 between throwing away what I already have, and going out to buy more stuff just because I hit that stupid 'update' button. I heavily regret it. ... show more

  • Buying from them voids manufacturers warranty!!!
Color: Black
If you purchase through them the warranty will be void and Epson will only fulfill a warranty if the product is purchased directly through them.
