The NPD Group, Total Channel Tracking Service, U. S. & Canada, Inkjet SF/MF Printers, Refillable ink tank included, based on units, February 2019 - January 2020. Supertank printers are defined as refillable ink tank printers. 1. Savings and cost per ISO page are based on the cost of replacement ink bottles and the cost of enough standard cartridges to achieve the total page yields of the bottles using the MSRP (USD) and yields for Epson standard-capacity ink cartridges for similarly featured Epson consumer inkjet printers as of February 2019. Actual savings and costs will vary considerably based on print tasks, print volumes and usage conditions. 2. Based on average monthly document print volumes of about 200 pages. 3. Part of the ink from the included bottles is used for initial setup; yields are lower than those of replacement ink bottles. Replacement and included ink bottle yields based on the ISO/IEC 24712 pattern with Epson’s methodology. Actual ink yields will vary considerably for reasons including images printed, print settings, temperature and humidity. Yields may be lower when printing infrequently or predominantly with one ink color. All ink colors are used for printing and printer maintenance, and all colors must be available for printing. For more information, visit our official site. 4. Individual cartridges estimate based on print yields of a replacement set of Black and color ink bottles as compared to Epson standard-capacity ink cartridges for similarly featured printers as of September 2018. 5. Voice-activated printing is not available with the Epson Expression Eco Tank ET-2500 and ET-2550 printers, and Epson printers that are 5 or more years old. See our official site for device compatibility. Epson Connect account and voice-activated account registration required. 6. Most features require an Internet connection to the printer, as well as an Internet- and/or email-enabled device. For a list of Epson Connect enabled printers and compatible devices and apps, visit our official site. 7. Wi-Fi CERTIFIED; level of performance subject to the range of the router being used. Wi-Fi Direct may require printer software. 8. 12 months of standard limited or 50,000 plain paper sheets (whichever happens first). For an additional 12-month extended service plan (total of 24 months or 50,000 plain paper sheets, whichever happens first), you must register your product and use Epson genuine ink bottles. See Limited for details. 9. ET-2600/2700/3700/4700/7700/16000 Series and ST-2000/3000/4000 Series included ink bottle yields based on the ISO/IEC 24712 pattern with Epson’s methodology. ET-7700 Series included ink bottle photo yields are significantly lower. ET-8700 included ink pack yields are estimated based on ISO/IEC 24711 test in Default Mode printing continuously. Actual ink yields will vary considerably for reasons including images printed, print settings, temperature and humidity. The Epson ET-4760 printer garners high praise for its ease of setup and use, especially from those transitioning from other brands like HP. Users commend its lightweight design and efficient operation, appreciating its low ink cost and ability to print on a variety of media. While the print quality, particularly for text, is excellent, some find the ink colors not as vibrant compared to competitors. The touchscreen's size presents challenges for some, and issues with firmware updates warrant attention.

However, if you prioritize color intensity in your prints or prefer a larger touchscreen, you may want to consider other options.

  • Best Printer I've Ever Owned
Style: ET-4760 (4-in-1 for Office, white)
I bought this printer 4 years ago in February of 2020 for home use. I just refilled the ink yesterday for the first time. And we actually use it all the time. Mainly for printing shipping labels and documents that need to be signed. We sign them and scan them back in with the built in scanner. The scanned copies are emailed to us straight from the printer. Very easy to set up. Very convenient. Works well with mobile devices on the same network. I've never had a printer I would recommend until this one, but I recommend this all the time. It's perfect for home use and very economical. It cost me $65 for the ink refills. But like I said, i've just had to do it once, 4 years later. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Great light-weight printer
Style: ET-4760 (4-in-1 for Office, white)
I read many reviews on different brands of printers and chose this one. I'm 63 and I found it easy to set up with no problems, I did not encounter any of the ridiculous complaints that are in some of these reviews. However, I've dealt with computers since the days I had to write MS-DOS batch files in order to get my old IBM AT PC to do anything. This is my first Epson printer since the dot matrix days when Epson ruled the world. I have used Canon, and then HP printers, since inkjet printers became reliable in the early 90s, and now I just refuse to pay a minimum of $150 for a complete set of cartridges for my HP. I only have three things negative to say about this printer: 1) the brilliance of the ink is not as good as HP, although the print quality is excellent in terms of the definition of characters in lines, the blue and red inks are just not as bright doesn't have the snap to them that HP ink has. I'm sure the Epson ink engineers could easily change that. 2) if they are going to insist that the printer update the firmware during the set up process, then the firmware process should work. I tried twice and the firmware update failed, that should be a pretty simple process they could've worked out by now because I noticed that same complaint was on a review several months back as well as some YouTube reviews I watched. Apparently Epson is not paying attention to its customers. Firmware controls everything this printer does and could probably even fix my complaint about the ink without any changes to the ink itself. 3) The touchscreen is a little small and hokey, you really need a stylus unless you have very small fingers, but once you're through the initial set up process of putting in date time etc., I can't see that I would need to use it a lot. During the set up process don't be alarmed by the amount of noise the printer makes, once you start printing it's no more noisier than any other inkjet printer and in fact it's much smoother and quieter than my current big heavy HP 87xx printer which shakes the table as it prints. After two days I can't say I've used it a whole lot, maybe about 50-75 pages so far, which includes high quality 22 pound paper, and 110 pound card stock that I used to make checklist for my job as a flight instructor. I encountered absolutely no problems with double sided printing or the card stock. I do print a lot, that's why I have chosen the ink tank printers this time around and I will probably order the print head cleaning kit that will also remove bubbles from the ink tank lines, which will cause the printer to stall and not print a certain color when it encounters an air bubble in the line. Removing air bubbles and cleaning the printhead looks like a pretty simple process from the videos I watched. I think it would be handy to have on hand since it's relatively inexpensive, rather than waiting several days to order one when you encounter the problem, which I'm sure it will happen to all of us at some point in the future. I did not rate tech support because I have not used it and I don't have any other Epson products to reference. I'm sure, or I would certainly hope, if I did call them they would give me a workaround process to update the firmware since the printer obviously isn't going to do it on its own. Like everyone else, Epson is playing "invasion of the body snatchers," by asking you to give them permission to search your computer during the set up and registration process, to find all your software and products so it can improve the operation of your Epson printer, with the promise that it will not transmit or collect any of your personal information. It may not collect your personal data and passwords, but trust me, their software will gather every thing it can find about you so they know your every move on your PC, everything you search for on Amazon, FB, TickTock or Google by collecting those cookies, so that they can then target you for advertising etc. etc., and even though your name and personal information may not be attached... they will sell it. I'm sure that is the primary goal...it's not to assist their printer work better on your PC as stated. So my advice is don't give them permission together any of your information on your computer usage. Overall if you're looking for a fantastic printer that's lightweight, this baby is first class. ... show more

  • Really good general printer.
Style: ET-4760 (4-in-1 for Office, black)
I was a little hesitant at first, because of the price. After thinking about all the hundreds of dollars worth of dried up printer cartridges we’ve thrown out over the years, it was really a no brainer. This is a great general duty printer. My wife works from home a lot, so a reliable printer is a must. Every time we needed a quick print job, it became a major ordeal, because of the dried out cartridges. This Epson printer uses liquid ink in a tank, so it doesn’t dry up. It also lasts a LOT longer than the cartridges, and that saves money. The color quality isn’t quite as good as a laser or cartridge printer, but it’s good enough. It’s definitely not “photo quality”, but for documents or even flyers, it’s great. ... show more

  • Excellent space saver
Style: ET-4760 (4-in-1 for Office, white)
I love the convenience of the scanner, fax, copier, and color printer all in one, especially as this is a relatively small machine which sits on a TV table. It replaced my single Epson function scanner, which I had for years. Although I did not think I needed or wanted a copier, the ink cartridges are economical and it’s nice to be able to copy in color or black and white. The color quality though is relatively poor so if you are using it for photos — as opposed to text — look elsewhere. I gave it 3 starts for print quality because of the washed out looking color. If you want a double-sided scanner, this may not be for you. I considered returning the machine because I really wanted an ADF (automatic document feeder) for the scanner and not just for the copier. To scan and create one’s own double-sided document, I had to not only concentrate harder than normal but take notes on which page I was on, and which side. Even knowing what side I had fed into the machine, I was uncertain when the sheet came out on the other side, whether it was the first side or second side that was facing up. Importantly, I couldn’t double check on the computer to see how the images were coming out, or which ones were actually done (as I could on my previous scanner. ) My Mac would continually say “Scanning p. 1” so that I felt I was still on page one. Only when I got to last page, e.g., page 25, could I click “Save.” A final note, right after I bought the machine, the price dropped to $350. Such price-drops have been common with other items I have bought from Amazon. Unfortunately, Amazon says it has no control over the price of the item and would offer no price match in terms of discounting the difference, say, on future purchases. Shortly afterwards again, the price went back up to $499. I’d be curious if anyone understands what is behind such fluctuating policies. No Amazon rep thus far has been able to explain. Hence, I gave it 3 starts as far as "Value for money." ... show more
