I have my backdrop hanging to get creases out. It isn’t super sturdy but I’m going to add weights at the bottom. I actually have another backdrop on the other side as well. Great deal for the price! I love that the feet don’t stick out!

Great value for the price! This backdrop stand was easy to assemble, take apart, and store away. The included storage bag makes cleanup and transportation very convenient. We used it for our 5th-grade moving-up ceremony, where we hung a large banner and zip-tied balloons to the sides. It held everything well, looked great, and helped create a nice backdrop for photos. The only thing to note is that the stand can become unstable if the bottom support posts are not perfectly parallel. It is definitely helpful to add some weight to the base, especially when using decorations or in areas with airflow. I haven’t had this product long, in fact it didn’t even last as long as I thought it would. As you can see from the sheer curtain, I don’t use it to hang anything heavy.. however both horizontal poles have broken at the ends, rendering this banner stand unfixable.. first pile broke a week ago & the piece that broke is the only piece securing horizontal poles to vertical poles, once the bolt is exposed you can NOT secure the poles together.. maybe with use of super glue but you’d have to get the part aligned perfectly where it broke.. or the screw will not thread into the pole itself (which is very hard to do) I’ve had a similar purchase for over a year now & I guess that’s what made me consider this purchase .. however this is simply a cheap version. Considering I do not take down or reassemble this often I can’t imagine how frustrated I’d be if I used this for what it was intended for & not a single sheet curtain ... show more

Ordered the 8x8 model to display a 6’ x 3’ 3” banner at events like flea markets, gun shows, etc. I expect it to be set up, used for a day or two, then taken down a lot. It’s not the most robust equipment, but it should last a while if stored, transported, and assembled with care. Other reviewers noted that the poles bent easily. It is true, they are a rather thin gauge metal, but with care they shouldn’t be problem. And, thicker gauge metal would be heaver to tote around. Since I’ll be setting it up and taking it down frequently, my only real complaint is how the parts are assembled. A countersunk screw goes through the bottom of each base and into the bottom of the vertical bars. To disassemble, those screws need to be completely removed, and not lost until the next use. Similarly, the horizontal bars connect to the vertical using removable screws, though these have a plastic knob attached you use to tighten or loosen them, making the process tool-less. Those four screws also need to be kept somewhere safe so they won’t get lost. I initially thought about just putting the screws (for both the horizontals and the bases) back in their respective holes after disassembly, but it seems like that’s just asking to whack one against something and bend screw hole mounts. Those are metal plates welded inside the ends of the tubes, with a drilled and tapped screw hole. They are recessed in the bars a bit, and thus protected from damage, but with a screw inserted and sticking out of the end of the bar, it seems like too much risk of damaging the mounting plate. If they came up with some quick-release mechanism that would eliminate the screws, I’d give them another star. One other point: this would be fine for indoor venues, as the bases are heavy enough to support the frame, with no wind. Depending to the size of the banner you are displaying, I would imagine it would have trouble staying upright in a strong breeze. ... show more
