And, it’s the reason why we push the limits of imaging technology to ensure your work is limited only by you - and not the technology used to print it.Utilizing professional imaging technologies - including our unique Epson MicroPiezo AMC print head, along with our latest Epson UltraChrome HD eight- color pigment ink set - the SureColor P800 is capable of producing the next- generation of photographic prints that will inspire us all.1. Ink lightfastness rating based on accelerated testing of prints on specialty media, displayed indoors, under glass. Actual print stability will vary according to media, printed image, display conditions, light intensity, humidity and atmospheric conditions. Epson does not guarantee longevity of prints. For maximum print life, display all prints under glass or lamination or properly store them.2. Wi-Fi CERTIFIED; level of performance subject to the range of the router being used. Wi-Fi Direct may require printer software.3. Print times are based upon print engine speeds only. Total throughput depends upon front-end driver/RIP, file size, printing resolution, ink coverage, network speed, etc.4. Ink used in conversionvaries considerably based on temperature and other factors.5. Cartridge yields vary considerably based on images printed, print settings, paper type, frequency of use and temperature. For print quality, a variable amount of ink remains in the cartridge after the “replace cartridge” indicator comes on. The printer ships with full cartridges and part of the ink from the first cartridges is used for priming the printer.6. For the latest drivers, visit our official site. • Gallery quality prints - restores what digital has lost
We've gained so much with digital photography that we rarely notice what we've lost. "The negative is comparable to the composer's score and the print to its performance," said Ansel Adams. In many ways digital photography is like writing music ... and then never playing it. We take zillions of photos...and then never print them. The Epson SureColor P800 is like having the Wrecking Crew show up, drag out all your music, and perform it! For perspective, I was a professional photographer for newspapers and magazines, primarily shooting B&W 35mm film (Tri-X). The photos printed were shot on a 24 megapixel Pentax K70 camera and Pentax Limited prime lenses. Color - I printed up to 17"x22" on Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper and Epson Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster. The results were nothing short of breathtaking. The colors are realistic, but with great pop. The famous Pentax Limited bokeh looks simply gorgeous, whether with landscapes or portraits. Just frame them and hang them in a gallery. B&W - I printed up to 17"x22" on Epson Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster. In my pro days I did a lot of wet dark room printing. I still have Ilfobrom Gallerie archival prints on my walls from those days. And, to be blunt, I've always hated ink-jet B&W prints. They always looked...off to me. I'm happy to say that B&W prints from the Epson P800 are every bit as good as the best wet dark room work. The blacks are rich and heavy and good enough to eat. The whites are clean and strong. And the resolution of this printer is staggering. Whether you are a pro, or just enjoying the great hobby of photography, printing with the Epson SureColor P800 will make you a better photographer. ... show more

  • Slightly Used, to say the least.
When I recieved the printer, it would not start until I replaced the three doors that were shipped loose. When I printed for the first time, the colors were way off. The reds were orange. The blues were purple. I called Epson for help and they told me to clean the heads three ti.es. if still didn't work, clean they again three times. During that process, I found out the ink in the printer was dated 2018. The ink was at least six or seven years old. After cleaning the heads six times, the printer seems to works pretty well. The ink cartridges are half gone because of the cleaning. Because of the age of the ink, I have to clean the heads periodically to maintain good print quality. For $1,500.00, I would have thought the printer would have been in better shape. ... show more

  • Buyer BEWARE!!
I purchased this printer with the understanding that I would receive the rebate and of course, get the printer quickly for photo work. I received the printer quickly although the printer is a "grey market" version and is not qualified for a rebate $300 nor will it qualify for a warranty. It is described on the website to come with an EPSON AMERICA warranty. COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTED IN AMAZON! I am a long time customer of AMAZON but the experience I had after I received the printer is absolutely the most DISGUSTING and DISRESPECTFUL I have ever had. When I called them to make the aware of the GREY MARKET product, the agent I spoke with tried to deceive me and not only that, but actually told me they would put me on the phone with someone from EPSON to verify the warranty. The person they put on the phone could not possibly have worked for EPSON although they tried to represent that. The person said he was from EPSON Sales and was not even aware of the Support tools to verify warranty status. When I pressed him for where he was located, he finally admitted he was in the Philippines. No Customer should be treated to this level of disrespect nor accept lies. I expect someone in AMAZON CORPORATE To offer me an apology. ... show more

  • wow!
I purchased this printer in April of 2016. I can say with out a doubt "The P800 is simply the best and easiest photo printer I have ever used" From loading larger size (13x19 and 17x22) sheets, to smaller 8x10's it's a dream and easy to do. And as far as the Color's go it doesn't run through them as much as you would think. (that may be because of a updated print profile Epson sent after I first registered the P800) And the colors can't be beat. I spent the full $1,200 on this printer, no discount, no $300 refund, and I did regret the price But after I Used it I started to realize just what a good printer it is. If my p800 died today, I would shed a tear and plunk down another $1,200 for a new p800 (and I don't waste money) I do highly recommend the P800 if you take your Photo Printing seriously as I Do. ... show more

  • The finished product is better than what my Stylus Pro used to be and ...
I have mixed feelings about this printer. It does not print red colors properly - they come out muddy. I returned my original purchase for a replacement, which has the same problem. After spending most of an afternoon talking to an Epson representative and testing various methods of printing, his advice was that I stop printing through Photoshop and find a different printing program. This has not worked either. So now I'm spending much extra time and using extra paper and ink running off test prints of an image until I find it satisfactory for printing full size. The finished product is better than what my Stylus Pro used to be and my work is selling better as a result, but that extra work and expense should not be necessary. ... show more
