Don't plan on using this one outside unless it is totally dark. It's fine after pitch black but get something brighter for dusk use.

    • Be careful with refurbished models.
Be careful with refurbished models. This was a recertified model 1080 from Epson. It arrived in really cheesy wrapping, which was basically cardboard sides and back with heavy Saran Wrap around a partial box to bend the sides in to secure the projector. The picture quality looked great at first glance , however it was obvious that the focal plane was not uniform. When we focused the middle of the image and the right side was out of focus and when we focused the right side, the left side and middle were out of focus. It was not usable so I returned it.     • Broke after using 3 times less than 10 hours!
I bought the Epson Home Cinema 1060 (and older version ) and used it 3 times for less than 10 hours use and it is broken. I called the repair center and it appears that the repair will almost equal what I paid for it new. Not a reliable product. Look for a model other than an Epson
