  • Decent Projector
Color: Black Renewed
I took a chance and purchased a renewed LS 300 and so far, its been great. All of the advertised claims are accurate. The brightness in my opinion is too bright, but there are settings to allow you to reduce the overall brightness down which also helps conserve lamplife. The image quality is fantastic both in terms of focus and colors. I've learned that the projector is only as good as the source material, so if you're expecting an old DVD that is 480p or 720p to look great, then think again. Older DVDs will only look good on older projectors or TVs that were built to support the lower resolution. In my opinion, the projection quality of older DVDs is decent enough to get by, but for those that are expecting 4k quality on a 720p DVD film, then you may not be happy, but again, it's not the projector that is flawed. I was unable to find any defect with this projector. Netflix looks great on it. If you are like me and reviewed 30 different projectors to find a good one, then just pick the one that has the best price and features because I'm certain they are all the same. Any lumens above what this projector can do is overkill for the home theater user. I can not hear the fan while watching a movie. It's very quiet. No complaints at all so far... ... show more

  • So far so good
Color: White Renewed
Bought these refurbished. It’s been a month in. So far, I’m loving it. Great picture quality and brightness. FAN The fan just make a noise during start up. But it quiets down after 15–20 seconds, and becomes this negligible hum that recedes to the background unnoticed. I live in a pretty small apartment and it does not bother me. I use the projector at 80% brightness, good for the evening, passable(maybe) on a bright sunny day. I do acknowledge that the fan gets a lot louder if I turn the brightness up to 100% in a unpleasant way. So, so far I’ve avoided that. Otherwise, it works great. ANDROID TV I’m not a fan of this OS. it’s very hard to use. I use an Amazon Firestick instead. And it works great! I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend this to anyone. ... show more

  • Great so far
Color: Black Renewed
I've had this projector for 5 days, so far it's been great. Purchased this to replace a 6 year old LG. I loved that projector but it was time for a new, brighter projector. The LG was 1000 lumens and could only be used at night in a relatively dark room. The LS300 is extremely bright! It got delivered at about 5 pm so it was already dark but the difference in brightness was amazing. I turned on all of the lights and the projector was almost like watching a TV, without the reflection. The picture did degrade a bit but it was minimal My big test would be in the morning when the sun came out. Started playing with the projectors settings, very easy to set up and with the advancement of connecting nowadays, I was connected to my Android account in minutes via QR code. There was no huge need for drastic picture adjustments, it was all about my preferences and many of the standard pic settings looked great. Morning sunlight came and the picture has degraded by maybe 10%, not affecting me using the projector in the daytime and I have a lot of light entering the room. Loving this projector, so far I've mostly watched sports as it arrived on Dec. 30th but the Rose Parade was an excellent program to evaluate and tweak the projector. Played with the setting during the parade and think I've found my sweet spot. A few things that bothered me but are not deal breakers: As some mentioned, the top of the image is a bit jagged while the bottom is straight. To overcome this I just adjusted the top to go a bit over the top of the screen, usually not much content at the top of screens anyway, mostly it's at the bottom and I'm not losing more than a millimeter or two. An ethernet port would have been nice. I haven't had any issues with the WiFi but we all know an ethernet connection is faster and more stable. The focus wheel on the side is somewhat difficult to be precise. When using the internal Android, if you are watching a show and want to adjust the pic, the screen pauses, making adjustments a pain. However if you have a Roku, Firestick or Nvidia Shield connected, the picture does not pause. There is not shut off timer, just a sleep timer. A backlit remote would have been nice, I didn't worry about it because I have a Logitech Harmony remote that has never not been able to connect to a device, until now!! No Harmony support for this projector. No Netflix! What is that about? Every other Android device I own has Netflix available. Not a big deal and in my testing discovered that my Nvidia Shield actually produces better picture quality than the internal Android. It was the opposite on my Samsung TV. Overall, these issues are minor and I can easily work around them. For the refurbished price I paid, I'm extremely happy. ... show more

  • Great Projector
Color: White Renewed
Works great and was easy to set up. I did see some reviews about the picture size but the 15inch distance from the wall is measured from the front of the projector, not the actual lens. It projects the correct size based on distance. The lens cover does look “dusty” but that’s semi-normal for projectors and has not messed with the picture at all. ... show more

  • Awful
Color: White Renewed
(Refurbished unit) Picture is of the unit right in front of my screen which placed the laser cluster at 13 inches. They claim you can achieve a 120' image at 15.2 inches and there is absolutely no way that is possible. Fuzzy image even at its closest position to the screen. Focus adjustment was a waste of time. Only has 1 USB port and there is no way to run Ethernet to the unit so you are stuck with WIFI. This unit would be a upgrade only if you have been watching TV on a old Vacuum tube or a old shoe. However, if you've been using a UHD, OLED or even a LCD tv then buying the Epson LS300 laser projector will be a huge step down. Very rare I leave bad reviews ... show more

  • Great color and brightness, but has a systematic fault
Color: White Renewed
No Netflix… and when watching Apple TV, it lags and randomly turns off.

  • true short throw and great picture
Color: Black Renewed
Some reviewers complaint about throw distance. I suggest you read the manual first prior to order and there you can find details about all the measurements to avoid surprise later on. This thing needs a bit patience to adjust but when completed it produce very nice image. The Yamaha built in sound is hyped and it's average at best. Don't use it unless you have to. The image deserves a serious sound system. My Denon receiver and Klipsch speakers paired up well. ... show more
