I received it today and my husband set it up as soon as we got home. The box was large and the unit well protected. It works perfectly (just need to learn all the controls and fine tuning for the picture we like). It's currently on our old TV Stand facing our white, dirty wall (with some spots here and there). As long as we don't have a fully white image, the picture and colors are good enough to hide the imperfections. It's night with a bright lamp on in the room and the brightness settings are low but we can still see the image clearly. In the daytime hours, I expect to increase the brightness but I think the image will still be clear (will update if it isn't). Important items to me not in any particular order of importance: 1. I can hear the sound clearly without going to max volume and still turn it up if I feel like it. 2. I can see the image in all lighting environments and it's not pixilated, too uneven, or warped. 3. Gives me more space where my TV was located. 4. Easy to relocate when I feel like it (will need to redo the sertings when this happens). 5. Remote Control available. 6. Capabilities to link a device to watch video apps or video apps installed. End . It's great just the way it is in our home. No repainting the wall. No projections screen. I'm happy. Hubby has more requirements he wants that I don't know about. It's meeting his standards too. He's usually picky on having HD or UHD images but it's good enough for him as is for now. We'll see if we get a projector screen or paint the wall later. ... show more

I have had this for almost a year, beautiful and bright when projected on a proper UST screen. Was using it on a a cheap $20 120" screen and it was still beautiful. The only issue I have is AndroidTV not having Netflix, but I just use the Roku 4K streaming stick instead. The app makes it very easy to center and fill the screen. ... show more

The picture is amazing! Bright, Clear, and Fast refresh. The built in sound is OK for TV or gaming, but a soundbar is recommended. It does not have netflix as a native app for Epson's version of Android TV. I hooked mine to my XBOX and no issues. The ARC HDMI connection works great for sound. Its plenty bright in a well lit room, but a dark room is where it shines. The fan increases in speed to compensate for the heat from the brightness setting so some people will complain that its too loud. I keep the brightness pretty low as I don't need it turned all the way up. It has a built in USB port and you can install VLC or other media players from the app store to watch your own movies/videos if you like. Lack of netflix is really my only complaint with this projector. It was worth the price! ... show more

This projector is fantastic. It has great color, an app that can adjust for wall waviness if you don't have a screen where you are using it, amazing blacks and whites, and keeps up with gaming with no trouble. Would definitely recommend. We do have a screen, but we haven't put it up yet. We just haven't gotten around to it, and the projector looks so good even without it. To be fair, we do have a pretty great area for a projector. We don't have a dedicated theater room, but it is in a basement room with half windows covered with blackout curtains on either side. It works rather well. My only gripe is that the physical size of the projector is big enough that it was a bit of a hassle to hunt down a surface to sit it on. We ended up with a coffee table. I'm not in love with it, but it works. We do have some added difficulty due to having to find something rather low to the ground since the ceilings are only 8ft in the room it is in. ... show more

If you're using this for a home theater where the surround sound will be loud, you probably won't notice the fan. But if you have the volume turned down for easy listening you will likely notice it, unless you're old and deaf 😂 Definitely download the App to set up the projector screen. 10x easier.     • Noisy & Difficult to set up, but great picture

I bought this as an upgrade to my old epson projector. Unfortunately, I was unaware that ultra short throw projectors require their own special screen. So after purchasing a ust screen, I still ended up returning this for two main reasons: 1) The fan is VERY noisy. Much louder than any other projector I've had. For me, it was just too distracting, especially during quieter scenes of a movie. 2) The picture is very difficult to set up and align properly. Even using their app, which was a big help, it always seemed crooked, unlevel, or misaligned somewhere on the screen. They were minor imperfections, and others may not even notice them, but they were noticeable to me. I spent hours tweaking this and could never get it quite right. That said, the picture quality is very, very good, especially on a UST ALR screen. Vivid colors, smooth motion, clear picture; a noticeable improvement over my current 4K projector. I was actually really torn about returning this because I loved the picture so much, but I just couldn't get past the fan noise more than anything. ... show more

    • Not worth the money. Poor quality

I finally returned the projector after paying 600$ restocking fee. I used the projector for 8months. 3hrs/day on average. Pro: Bright, good when viewing at daytime. Better than Optoma P1 Con: two HDMI ports broken after 8months. They can't connect to Apple TV, Blue Ray etc. No 3D view option, Picture quality OK at the best. A bit noisy. I have tried viewsonic, Optoma P1 and EPSON UST. They all have problems. Optoma P1 broken after one year. Picture quality for viewsonic is way too bright and unreal, like its TV. ... show more
