    • Perfect Projector, still kicking 4 years later
Style: EF12 1080p, AndroidTV, Yamaha
Bought in 2022 and it’s still just as good as when I pulled it out of the box. Excellent clarity. Easy to use. And great sound. Plus it’s compact so easy to move around if necessary

    • Game-Changer for Home Entertainment—Compact, Powerful, and Stunning!
Style: EF12 1080p, AndroidTV, Yamaha
The Epson EF12 projector is nothing short of phenomenal! I’ve been searching for a compact projector that delivers exceptional picture quality without sacrificing portability, and this little powerhouse checks every box. First off, the image quality is breathtaking. With its Full HD resolution and Epson’s 3LCD technology, colors are vibrant, details are sharp, and the brightness is perfect even in rooms with some ambient light. Watching movies on this feels like having a mini cinema at home! The built-in Android TV and Yamaha speakers make this projector a complete entertainment hub. Setup is incredibly simple, and you’re streaming your favorite shows or casting from your phone in minutes. The sound quality is surprisingly robust for such a compact device—deep bass, clear dialogue, and no need for an external sound system (though you can add one if you want). Portability is another huge win. Its sleek, cube-like design is lightweight and easy to move, making it perfect for movie nights in any room or even outdoors. Plus, it’s quiet during operation, which keeps you immersed in whatever you’re watching. Epson has truly outdone themselves with the EF12. It’s a perfect balance of innovation, quality, and convenience, making it a must-have for anyone looking to elevate their home entertainment experience. Five stars aren’t enough to express how impressed I am. Don’t hesitate—this is worth every penny! ... show more

    • Powerful and Versatile projector
Style: EF12 1080p, AndroidTV, Yamaha
This projector is exactly what I was looking for. I tried the sub $200 projectors but they were not bright enough. I tried the EF-100 and the brightness was amazing but the picture quality was not great once the screen got above 70". This EF-12 is the best of both worlds and the charry on top is that the sounds quality is quite good for the form factor. I planned to use this projector as my primary home theater display and also use it for family movie nights out in the back yard. It has been to cold and snowy outside to do the latter but the use of the projector as my home theater display has been nothing short of amazing! Pros: 1. Brightness is high enough to cut the most well lit rooms 2. 1080P quality is great for the price point 3. The speakers get quite loud with great clarity 4. the cooling fan is very quiet. 5. The auto focus is fantastic 6. the remote is bluetooth and is very responsive 7. the standby to full on is very fast Cons: 1. The throw distance is shorter than i expected for a 100" display (This is affects where you place it in the room) 2. The ceiling mount is sold separately (I have seen reviews where they got it in the box but this was not the case for me) 3. Bluetooth does not work to connect to external speaker. (Like i said the sound is good but to center the sound it would be nice to be able to connect a bluetooth soundbar or similar) 4. In very bright environments the picture does get a bit washed out. Conclusion: This was a great purchase however i would have opted for the EF11 (Same display specs without the yamaha speaker) if it were not for the sale that made the EF12 the same price as the EF11. Bottom line is the picture is fantastic and the sound for the EF12 is very good. ... show more

    • Good video quality and low noise, but image adjustment is inconvenient
Style: EF12 1080p, AndroidTV, Yamaha
Overall I’m happy with the projector. However, it took me longer than expected to set it up because the automatic keystone adjustment seems to only work for certain size of output. It does not provide an easy way to change the size of video, so I had to change it bit by bit with the corner pointer set up, which is pretty annoying. ... show more

    • Great all around home movie projector
Style: EF12 1080p, AndroidTV, Yamaha
Love the color, the image, the easy set up. Only had it for a week but so far so good. Hopefully it is as durable as is colorful. The only gripe I have is with the remote control. it doesn't have a way to select the Bluetooth device to connect to external speaker. It could not be done from the unit itself either. Not sure how to do that. Area of future improvement: 1. attach a handle to the unit for easier carrying. 2. provide carrying case for portability 3. have a manual 1.7 magnification adjustment knob to zoom in/out 4. built-in microphone on the remote control to do voice command instead of blutooth connect to an external google or amazon speaker/mic device 5. increase lumen to 2000 instead of 1000. 6. bult in battery to make this truly portable that could operate this device for 4 hours. I would pay $300 more for all these improvements. For now I 'm happy about this unit's picture quality and hope for a version 2 of this great projector. ... show more

    • Beware latest firmware!
Style: EF12 1080p, AndroidTV, Yamaha
This was a really nice projector, until the last firmware update. It broke acr audio and the wifi keeps turning off. YouTube will not play higher than 140p quality. Factory reset did not fix it. Going to attempt to file a warranty replacement.

    • Love it!!
Style: EF12 1080p, AndroidTV, Yamaha
I am super happy to purchase it. It is very convenient and you can carry it wherever you want. You do not need to worry about screen, connect it to a computer and sound. All comes with together and you just need to plug it and play. I am very happy with the brightness and sound quality. There is no fans at the back so you can lay it back and watch on the sealing. It is also not making noise. ... show more

    • Horrendous 120ms input lag. Not for gaming.
Style: EF12 1080p, AndroidTV, Yamaha
Review Image by Jacey
I needed a screen projected up on ceiling so that I can play video games while lying down on my bed, and Epson EF12 delivers a lot of attractive features for that: short throw ratio of 1.00:1, very quiet fan noise, compact and aesthetically pleasing looks, HDMI CEC function, smart phone screen mirroring with built-in Chromecast, laser lamps that ensures long life span of the projector, and high contrast ratio with very vibrant colors. Epson got almost everything right for millennials with small apartment, BUT there is one major flaw; a very noticeable input lag of around 120ms. It means I won't be able to make that leap of faith because the response is too slow. It's a real shame because EF12 is one of the rare projectors that actually recommends vertical mount on the wall, too. I believe this could have been the go-to projector for several years to come, if only it didn't have that horrendous input lag. ... show more
