  • Amazing when it's on sale. Perfect for travel, and it's bright for dim lit room
Style: EF12 - Renewed
When it's on sale for $500 this is the best projector you can get for that price. For $1k it's okaish as now it's competing with others. It's small and looks premium. It's small enough you can take it on a road trip with you just to project in your hotel. Android OS is a big sluggish but you can fix that with a firetv stick. The most important part it's bright and sharp. ... show more

  • Very bright, sharp focus, relatively low noise
Style: EpiqVision Mini EF11 - Renewed
The media could not be loaded. Very light and compact. Easy to setup; after manually focusing, the picture is very sharp. I still haven't installed the white fabric screen, but overall, it looks cool on the ceiling, and though you can easily see the texture of the cedar boards, the experience is still awesome, like a real theater. It's my first projector; I picked it by doing some research online, and I see why this one is great value. The colors are vivid, the brightness is great (1000), which is perfect for indoors; I would say more than expected. Sometimes I feel like reducing the brightness, but then realize it's so juicy and vivid that I keep it this way. The screen size I got from placing the projector behind the bed on a stand is about 150" in comparison to my 65" TV. This is a huge difference, a true cinematic feeling, especially with the subwoofer under the bed and speakers underneath pointing to the sides. It gives the theater vibe, fireworks, action movies, all of which look great. Still have to install the white screen, but even now it's a 5-star investment. There is also a hole for the tripod, which is M4x4, basically a 4mm-diameter screw, so most common 6.5mm tripods from DSLR cameras will not fit unless you buy a screw adapter. For tiny tilt, there are pop-up plastic feet, which is a nice bonus in case you place the projector on a shelf or table. The fan in projector is low noise, when it's behind the bed, I can hear it in full silence, but as soon as something playing, the fan noise is absolutely unnoticeable. I haven't bought Refurbished product before, but though why not to try, if something goes wrong, it's amazon, should be easy return. The projector came in a box, there was flat carton board inside, which the projector was sealed with a plastic film to, there was no chance it's moving slightly in the box, absolutely protected form during shipping. It came with batteries, power adapter, manual, remote. Everything clean, no sign of fingertips, looks like new, my first experience of refurbished product in general, and first on amazon, and I glad I gave it a try, saving good money, while getting perfect projector. ... show more

  • Great quality, needs a fix for Netflix
Style: EF12 - Renewed
The Epson EpiqVision Mini EF12 delivers sharp 1080p visuals with vibrant colors, and the built-in Yamaha sound system is excellent for its size. It’s super portable and easy to use thanks to the built-in Android TV. However, it doesn’t support Netflix natively, which is a big downside for such an otherwise great streaming device. I hope Epson resolves this with a future update. Aside from that, it’s a fantastic compact projector for movies and shows. ... show more

  • Finally, the right one.
Style: EpiqVision Mini EF11 - New
This is my fourth and final projector purchase in about 6 months of searching. My new (old) house has a perfect place in the basement for a theater setup next to the bar, but with only 8 feet of throw distance for a projector. I wanted something inexpensive instead of spending a thousand or more dollars on a name brand unit. The first projector I bought wouldn't fill the 100-inch screen at 8 feet, so now it's relegated to my 10-foot wide living room. The second was a short-throw model that would have worked well if it didn't struggle with HDMI sources, so I returned it. Then the third one (another short-throw) just didn't have the brightness and contrast I wanted. Unfortunately I missed the 30-day return window on that one right before I stumbled upon this Epson. Virtually all of the decent short-throw projectors I looked at were name brands that cost upwards of a thousand or more, and most used older DLP tech with expensive replaceable halogen bulbs. Many aren't even 1080p. Boom, all of a sudden this Epson Mini EF11 came out of nowhere. Laser, 1000 lumens, and it's a shorter-throw than most. Perfect. NO wonky bluetooth, no WiFi, no 5g, and no laggy smart features and apps. Perfect. All I need is one HDMI input to access my Yamaha 5.1 receiver and utilize the 4 HDMI input ports it provides. A Roku Ultra and my PC are all I use for content. The Epson is shooting a 100-inch picture from less than 8 feet away, and it's almost astounding. There is nothing lacking with the picture quality, contrast, and color depth. Soon I'll be showing it off to friends and family, and I'm sure the whole system will be a total hit. They'll be amazed. I bolted the Epson to the ceiling with a $13 mount from Amazon, and it didn't take long to adjust the picture to fill the screen nicely. The remote works great by simply pointing it at the screen. For movies and serious TV shows I fire up the surround sound system, but for lazy TV viewing I'm happy with the built-in speaker. I just wish I would have purchased this projector months ago, before I bought the others. Back then $600 was more than I wanted to invest, but I ended up spending a lot more before I finally settled on this one. In the end it was worth it. *This was NOT part of a promotion.* ... show more
