I like almost everything about this uke. I like the look, feel and sound of it. I’m impressed with the fact that even though it is not made out of wood you get a great sound. I really like the that temperature changes don’t affect the tuning as much as a wood instrument. To me that means that I can just have it in the trunk of my car and it’s available for whenever I’m out and about and need a ukulele. What I don’t like about this instrument is that they included a cheap little plastic capo that broke the very first time I tried it. Instead they should’ve included a tuner, that would be more helpful. I don’t like how there weren’t any instructions on how to turn on the built-in amp, I had to look at review videos on YouTube and see how people did it. That’s not a big whoop but that’s not a great customer experience. The main thing I don’t like about this uke is that the built-in amp is terrible. It doesn’t give out great sound, the effects you can make by adjusting the knobs you can’t really hear much of a difference, and when I turn the knobs up it makes a feedback sound. Overall in my opinion, it is not worth the extra double the price to have the pickup. Unless you really want the ability to plug it into an external amp, but even then I can’t justify the price. ... show more

The ukulele is amazing!!! It is loud enough to enrich the songs I am playing without an amplifier. It also sounds fantastic with my Fishman loud box. I think I am going to enjoy having that boost of the internal amp when I sit in the garden and play or alone in my truck at the beach the sound is so rich.. My ukulele came with everything I needed and was in perfect condition. The brochure is a little vague. I thought the red light on the bottom would go off or turn green when it was charged but you have to push the "on" button and it will show green when charged. That was not in the brochure but I asked on my ukulele Facebook group and got the answer I needed. I have two Enya Nova U ukuleles one regular and now the electric......I am happy I got both of them....I have restrung them one with the high g and one with low G.....These will both be my perfect traveling partners and are a gift from my dear husband.....Im heading out with my best friend down old route 66... ... show more

I bought this for my wife as a Valentine's Day gift. She's totally in love with it (especially the Red Color). Small enough for her hands, thin enough to hold, comes with straps for playing when she stands. Great overall tone for a pre-fab Ukulele, the electronics add a nice echo/reverb that makes it sound bigger than it is. I was actually able to install a Low G string (a wound D string for a classical guitar) which added a little more depth its sound. Another plus is the constructions materials. The carbon fiber body is very stable in all type of weather. I keep a second one in our car just to play when we're out and about. It's almost always in tune! ... show more

We bought several of these Enya Ukulele's, both with the TransAcoustic amplifier and without. Once the strings stabilize, the instrument stays in tune for days. The thin profile of the instrument is perfect. I prefer it much better than a standard bulky instrument. The carbon/abs material is perfect. It is not affected by weather/moisture. We were looking for a new instrument to learn that would be fun and convenient. Enya nailed it perfectly. I initially looked for professional reviews on Youtube and found several seasoned players that were all astounded by the carbon bodies sound. It is not common when a new string instrument comes along that creates new value to a legacy that goes back hundreds of years, as string instruments do. The price with Prime shipping enhances the sale. I recommend this instrument without reservation. It is simply a lot of fun to play! ... show more

This is an amazing purchase. It is a solid instrument with no complaints at all. I initially ordered the basic model but minutes later I said “what the heck”, lets go for the TransAcoustic model and freakin love it. It is a travel uke, but with the TransAcoustic option it’s loud enough and sounds great. The action is flawless. My second Enya and perhaps they will win my future guitar w. TransAcoustic. Second Enya uke I have purchased. This one is suburb. In every way. I run it through a Boss Acoustic Preamp/then a small EQ right into my Roland Street Cube. Supurb sound. As a straight acoustic, it sounds fantastic as well. The onboard FX are fun but remember their not going to be that loud. I set it up to fill out the sound a bit. That being said this is a uke meant to be played loud either as a straight acoustic or electric amplified. This one feels better than the same one I bought a year ago but without pickups and onboard. BUT....that one is a loud, beautiful and great sounding uke along too. The only difference (except for the pickup and FX) is that the Acoustic Plus feels and sounds like real carbon fiber. The Enya Concert uke feels a little more plastic than carbon. They referred to it as composite. But holy cats does it sound good too! Lastly, this company is so good. They pack with extreme care and you get a LOT of nice swag along with it. I have had no problem with my Enya Ukes but I feel like they would love to right any wrong. Oh one more note. A previous review mentioned he had a hard time figuring out how to turn on the actuator. Simple push down on the volume nob until it lights up. I'm already looking forward to my 3rd Enya uke.
