  • Works perfectly with Garmin dash cam
Works perfectly with my Garmin dash cam after my original Garmin-branded (and much more expensive) connector broke.

  • Shuts down after a few hours of driving
Product works but will turn off after a few hours of driving when in “Acc” mode. Got a replacement that does the same thing. For long drives you will need to set it to always on mode.

  • Product as Described
I purchased this cord for my dash cam to have constant power. It works very well. The cord is very long and easy to tuck away while mounting the dash cam. I like the option to keep on 24/7 and to shut off automatically. I would recommend buying this. Easy to install and the directions are easy to follow. ... show more

  • OBD 2/II Power
As the descriptions states, this is either ACC or Continuous power. 70Mai Dashcam isn't compatible with this power source. The dashcam "sees" power and remains on. Will not go into Parking monitor mode. I haven't tested voltage auto off - that review later. If successful, then rating will change to 5/5 stars. NOTE: The two modes are not "on the fly" the description is correct that you unplug the device from the car, change mode then replug into ODB port. ... show more

  • Check power compatibility
Got this to use with my recently purchased YADA Roadcam Ai 4K dashcam. Since this dashcam is powered by the vehicle's power and NOT an internal battery in the dashcam, it only operates while engine running or accessory in 'on' position. Liked the idea of having the ability to keep the roadcam active in case of a traffic stop during which I assume you have to turn your ignition off thus shutting off the power to the front and rear cameras in the process. *(I have the rear camera mounted so as to record anyone on my driver side window, such as a police officer). Having the cameras powered by a switched OBD continual power source seemed to solve the problem of no power to the cameras once engine was turned off. However I was finding that with this cable the camera was randomly powering off and on and then shutting off completely for no apparent reason. Checked all cabling and etc and found no connectivity probs. Disconnected the OBD cable and connected the camera USB straight onto the 'cigarette lighter socket' USB power adapter and had no more on-off power probs. And in fact the camera do work when the ignition is in the 'accessory' position so no harm done. It may NOT be a defect in the cable as such but rather the specific power amps/watts needed to power the YADA camera, so I am not faulting the OBD cable - it is simply likely an incompatibility issue. The takeaway is it is important to carefully determine the power specs when mating a device with a cable such as this. This is my OPINION only based upon my specific experience. ... show more

Works great, 2 position switch allows you to power the usb port as long as your car battery is above 11.6V or the other mode will remove power from the usb port after 5 minutes of turning the ACC off.
