These are perhaps slightly expensive but I didn't want the rollerblade type wheels since I'm using a chair floor mat over carpet and those tend to push down too much with a single point of contact. These have two actual wheels per unit so the weight is better distributed so as not to damage the carpet underneath my plastic mat as much. Plus, they have a nice stock look. I upgraded to the 3" larger ones in order to bring the height of my chair slightly higher so I have more adjustability in terms of height. The 3" ones also roll a bit easier too. These do the job but it remains to be seen just how long they will last. I will try to update this review to share the progress over time.

Great set of cheap replacement casters for my chair. I was ready to throw out my chair and get a new one because it wouldn't roll across my floor. I didn't think about just replacing the casters, but glad I finally thought about it. It's like having a new chair. It glides across my hardwood floors with ease. Very easy to replace, just take a flat head screwdriver to the old wheels and pop in these. took all of a couple minutes. The price makes it so if it does die in a year, no problem, i'll just order a new set. Was thinking about getting those rollerblade type wheels, but read some reviews about the stability. Still would like to try those out one day, but hard to go that route with these working so well and at the price point.

These caster roll easily on the fairly thin carpet in my office. The only challenging part of the installation was getting the old casters out!

I just ordered another set. First one is in good use but waited to make a decision after trying out on my desk chair on oak floors. These are quiet and non-marring. I forgot how nice the chair rolled. I'm very pleased with the casters and will start replacing all our swivel chairs that are on our oak floors. I changed them all to non-marring casters when we put new flooring in years ago at the installers suggestion. Now, it's time to start replacing them.

Not sure if it's just because these are new, but these casters have a nice smooth glide, and they don't feel like they'll scratch the floor. They are hard plastic, but they feel like it might be slightly softer plastic than my old wheels. Not much else to say - they are chair casters and are what you'd expect.

While the description says soft polyurethane wheels, they are not really soft. The durometer of this material, in my opinion, should be softer in order to avoid wear and tear on hardwood floors. These are almost as hard as the plastic wheels I removed.

These casters saved an office chair that was otherwise in good condition. I didn't realize replacement casters were available and was happy to find this product. Price was great, fast delivery (thanks, Prime!) and I was able to quickly remove the old ones and install these in less than 5 minutes. Chair now rolls smoothly and is good as new. Highly recommend!

The wheels were easy to install all you have to do is pry the old wheels out and tap in the new ones. I also purchased a protective pad to protect a hardwood floor. I probably could get by without the pad except I did not want to take a chance and markup the floor. My old wheels were a ball type and would have not only marked up the pad, I believe they would have penetrated the pad to the floor. The new wheels DO NOT leave any marks and glide effortlessly. I would buy this set again without question.
