    • Great Mid Range Treadmill
The media could not be loaded. Assembly - I was very pleased with how easy this treadmill was to assemble. It was literally just six bolts. However I did make a big mistake. I didn't discover the cross bar beam until after I had moved the treadmill to its permanent location. So I had to undo a couple of bolts to get the cross being into the holes and secure it. This made the entire console much more sturdy and it already was. I assembled the treadmill to its upright position by myself with no help. If you are just a little handy, then you should have no problems assembling this. But I uploaded a video which does not include the crossbar being installed. So don't make the most same mistake I did. Hopefully my video will help somebody assemble treadmill faster when they receive it. Function- I've had the treadmill for more than 2 weeks now, in fact almost 3 weeks. I've used it almost daily. I have tried some of the pre-programs that it came with but mostly I just use the quick buttons to get to my desired speed which is 5 mph. I treadmill is a little longer than another treadmill that I have. It is also a very quiet and smooth treadmill even when jogging on it. I also set the incline to 5°. I love that it has quick buttons on both of the handles as well. The console is very sturdy and can hold a cell phone or tablet. The speakers on the console are not the loudest and are the same as my other treadmill. They treadmill folds up really nicely and folds down very easily. It also has wheels in case you want to move it around when done and store it. I am just keeping mine in a permanent position in the garage. It is really deep cup holders which are nice for my water bottles. I purchased a small little battery operated fan which sits on the console and pulls me down. This is a really good mid-ranged treadmill with a lot of presets in it. And if you have a tablet the retractable holder is another nice feature that my other treadmill does not have. The longer tread on this treadmill versus my other one also makes me feel a little more secure on it. Couple of things that this treadmill is lacking which my other treadmill is also lacking is that the USB port does not charge. Not a deal-breaker but that would have been nice if I could charge my cell phone or tablet from the console. Also the calorie counter on this and speed seem to be a little generous compared to my other treadmill. But I really don't use these because I have a Garmin fit watch it tracks my fitness and heart rate. So the most important thing and features on this treadmill are the time counter which is important because I do 45 minutes on it every morning and 45 minutes every evening. I've gotten in a lot better shape and can really push the incline and speed on this treadmill. I have also lost a lot of belly flat this past 3 weeks thanks to this treadmill.     • Smart design, no noises yet.
I have owned several ellipticals ranging in prices of $200-800, and at risk of judging too soon, this is the best one so far. There are several smart design choices that tell me it was made by people who actually use them, or they've at least listened to a lot a feedback when designing it. If you use these a lot, you understand that any little noise they make is highly irritating. Even with my favorite previous elliptical that I've owned two of, I still would make a couple of modifications to eliminate any sources of noise. I'd grease anywhere there was metal on metal, even if it wasn't a moving part to eliminate squeaking. I'd also place a cloth between the foot pedestal and the metal, because if you don't it will make a clicking noise. So I was impressed to see that these have slim foam pads underneath them already to prevent this. Another source of noise is the extra plastic covers that they usually have to hide the joints. With every one I've ever owned I just leave them off, because they are purely cosmetic, but here I was happy to see they've just gotten rid of them almost entirely. This elliptical is also pretty sturdy. You don't want them too flimsy, but you also don't want them so heavy that you can't easily move it yourself. This model seems to strike a good balance there. The joints are also all accessible for when the time comes to clean and grease them, which really needs to be done every couple months I find. This is where I like these simpler models a lot more than the more expensive "better" ones. The less you have to take apart when you do maintenance the better. Other things I appreciate with the design: The foot pedestals do not have a back guard blocking you from positioning your feet farther back. The display is no frills, only having time, distance, etc., but also has a ridge for your tv remote or whatever. The difficulty adjustment is manual, and the thing doesn't need to be plugged into the wall. The assembly was also idiot proof, being the easiest of any I've owned. The only criticism I can offer is that the front and back cross braces on the floor are about the same width as the placement of your feet, resulting in an ever so slight rocking back and forth of the machine during use. It's honestly not that bad though. I also wouldn't mind if it had a slightly bigger stride. I'm only 5'6'' and it feels a bit underwhelming even for me, so if you're really tall this might not do it for you. This is another compromise I'm willing to make though as long as the thing doesn't make irritating noises. One additional note is that the delivery man was a total a-hole, and flipped the 120lb box end over end up my stairs letting it fall as hard as it could at the top, and the machine still worked perfectly after all that. ... show more

This little elliptical is a winner! I was expecting it to be much bigger from the pictures and when three box arrived I was skeptical. It looked more like a toy. But it gives you a good cardio workout. I'm glad it is small and easy to move around. We are coverting our basement bedroom to a home gym but we also need spaces to play on the Wii. The machine is virtually silent so using it while watching TV is not a problem. It feels sturdy while using it. I haven't exercised much lately so I started on the lowest resistance and I don't think I will ever work up to the highest but it's nice to know I can increase the challenge as I build strength and stamina. We did tons of research online and tried out machines in sporting goods stores and I'm so n glad this is the one we picked. I don't think three readout is very accurate but I'm more interested in time than anything else. It would be helpful if it out up so you didn't have to be under a bright light but overall that's a minor problem ... show more
