I bought this to bake powder coated jigheads. The double doors work great with 1 hand. The doors are track connected for single hand use. The heating element is pretty close in temp, to the settings. The 1st use burn off did take about 45mins to stop smoking, but not since the burn off. The inside removable tray, and shelves will work well for my purpose too. Overall it will do the job. This double door oven is a biggy. So make sure you have the room, PLUS the clearances from walls, and such. It gets really hot outside too. The front panel, no. The glass doors, yes. All the other sides YES, including the bottom. Use a metal cookie sheet to protect your counter top, or whatever you put it on. As for cooking stuff, size wise....this would cook a whole chicken on a small aluminum tray for sure. The dimensions are listed in the listing, read them for your use. I am comparing with a toaster-oven-broiler I have owned for a few years, "Elite Cuisine Model ERO-2008N. Like the present "Elite Gourmet ETO2530M, it was not a top of the line when I bought it. It still works, but from time to time, I must straighten the top-rear heating element, which bends upward toward the top of the appliance from the heat. Because of this problem, I thought it a good idea to have a new one in my closet and bought the "Elite Gourmet ETO2530M" under review. The price was about 25% higher for a double-door oven. It came with only one wire rack, a black pan, a crumb tray and a handle. It is a lighter weight unit, though it has a larger capacity oven than the older. Not a marker of quality, generally. Steel is heavier than plastic. The wire rack's thinner wires are the same diameter as those of my older, but the rack's perimeter is of clearly narrower steel. The older came with 3 wire racks. The area of the new oven is larger; so I cannot use the older ones. It is not a big difference and could have been made the same with no disadvantage to the consumer. A big disadvantage in my opinion is the spacing of the heating elements is only about 6 inches apart, side by side. The old were about 8 inches apart. That allowed greater distance between the baking loaf pan and the elements and very likely more even heat distribution. Lastly, I found that turning the control switch to OFF does not turn off the ON/OFF light. I could be that OFF turns off or reduces power to the heating elements but does not open the heating circuit. I consider that a functional fault. The price is much higher, and the accessories fewer and of lower quality. It has a functional fault. ... show more
