I LOVE this vacuum! I can't believe how great the suction is yet it doesn't sweep up any small cat toys that it comes close to. I'm even able to vacuum the dry cat food flakes off of the cloth placemats which are on the floor. The mats stay on the ground and don't get sucked up into the vacuum. It's also very lightweight and quiet enough that my cats don't get too freaked out. They watch it for a minute before they walk quickly out of the room, unlike my upright vacuum which scares them as soon as I pull it out. I got it on sale ($135) because it was from Amazon Warehouse, but it works like a charm and was a great value. I laughed at some of the reviews which said the charge didn't last long. Obviously they didn't realize there are 2 speeds or that they probably had it on the highest speed, which is how my came out of the box. I used it for a few minutes then hit the speed button only to have it slow down a bit. It still had great suction though. Lucky for me, I have a small apartment so it only takes me around 10 minutes to vacuum all of it, which means I can use it on the highest power without it running out of charge. I was amazed at how much cat hair and dirt it pulls up. I empty the container after 5 minutes just because of the cat hair. I've had it for 2 months now and haven't had to rinse out the filter however I'm sure at some point I will. It hasn't inhibited it's cleaning potential though. The cord length is plenty long enough for my small apartment. (500 sq feet). I also love the hand held vacuum with all of its attachments. The power is awesome. Whoever says it is a bad idea to give a woman a vacuum as a gift is either (a) not a woman or (b) not a woman with cats. This was my Christmas gift this year, and I love it. Things I love about it: (1) It stands up on its own and does not need to be leaned up against anything to stay upright (2) It is the perfect size. Not too big, not too small. (3) It has a little charging stand, which makes it feel more put away even though we have it sitting out in our study and not in a closet. (4) It has a light! This was a must for me. (5) The profile of the vacuum head itself (area where the beater bar is) is slim enough that I can easily vacuum under our vanities even though the bottom moulding of the cabinet has only a fairly small arch between it and the floor. (6) It is light-weight. If it were too heavy, I would be less inclined to grab it each day for regular maintenance. (7) It does the job. It is not by any means as powerful as a full-sized vacuum, but it is perfect for keeping things tidy on a daily basis. We use it for cat litter and any fur that as accumulated throughout the day. (8) The detachable handheld vacuum is gold. I love everything about it — the weight, the suction power (not too much or too little), the convenience of having it for smaller jobs or tiny spaces. (9) The look. It has a more classic design that feels more sophisticated than other options out there. If I am going to keep a vacuum out all the time, which is what we wanted to do so that it would be super easy to grab the vacuum for daily maintenance, I want to not mind how the thing looks. Lightweight. Cordless. Bagless. Two vacs in one. Swivels easily. Stands on its own. Attractive model. Unbelievable suction—I was shocked at what it pulled out of my carpet. Makes life so much easier. I liked it so much that I convinced my mom and dad who are elderly to get one as well. They absolutely love it. They had big clunky and heavy vacuum cleaners with great suction, but we’re nearly impossible for them to move. It was a safety issue really. I’m so glad I encouraged them to get this. I highly recommend getting the additional warranty for a few extra dollars. I had an Electrolux very similar to this many years ago and it lasted about a year so I definitely signed up for the extra warranty for both machines. (The only downside is that the handheld vacuum is best used with the attachment nozzle, which is tucked inside of the charging base. As others have commented, it would be better if this attachment were more easily accessible.) ... show more

I've only used it a couple of times but I like it for a quick cleanup. Doesn't get into corners but does a pretty good job for most of the area rugs. It works on the wood floors, but seems to do a better job on the rugs. It was fairly easy to put together, though the instructions were in little diagrams, no word instructions, which was a little challenging. I actually had to watch the videos on the website to figure out a few things. It's light and easy to push around and saves me hauling out our canister vacuum.
