there are no directions, timetables or temperatures for meats .. just recipes, and the only recipe for a steak was a cut that I had never heard of. I am using trial and error, and errors are a shame with the price of steak. It does sear nicely, which was what I was looking for. There is some smoke...so not completely smokeless.

Amazon couldn't deliver the package in mint condition. But luckily the grill inside the package wasn't damaged. I'm very happy with the grill, it heats up fast and easy to cook with both meats and veggies. The only thing i would suggest is to make the temperature slider in metal than plastic so it's more durable.

I used this for grilling/cooking strips of a rib-eye steak to enjoy Korean style. It grilled the steak nicely. I think it could handle about 1.5 lbs of steak but not have much room for anything else (veggies). It uses a three prong cord similar to a desktop power supply cord but it has a notch, so if you lose this power cord you won't be able to swap this out for something you already have (with the exception of some Xboxes). it's a NEMA 5-15P to IEC-320-C15 cord. About $15 on Amazon. I don't know why they picked this versus the non-notched cord. There doesn't seem to be a need. The cooking surface is removable. You have to clean it by hand. It's not dishwasher safe. In terms of cooking ability/function it's 5 stars all the way. However, the weird cord and lack of dishwasher safeness costs a star. 4 stars overall.
