I got this mixer because every once in a while I like making big, sinful, chocolate cakes ! To be clear, I am no chef in the baking dept, but I'm learning, and the one issue I have is my hands, which get really sore after doing certain jobs, mixing one of them. This little gem by Z-DESDEMONA is a game changer for me ! It's been rainy here, and the farm is all locked down for winter, so it's time to descend on the wife's kitchen and get in the real chef's way...lol. This mixer is just what I needed. It has 5 speeds, and makes easy work out of mixing cake batters, and has no problem mixing softened butter for the frosting. What used to take an hour for me, took 10 mins with this mixer, and my hands never got sore ! It is pretty fast on top speed, and even has a "turbo" button for a bit more speed, and power. When finished the mixers pop out "fairly" easy using an eject button, and can be washed off in the dishwasher. It's nice and light to hold which is also a concern for me, and it uses standard 120 VAC . This mixer does a fantastic job, and if I can make a cake using it, I can only imagine what a real baker can do ! Lol. It also comes with "hook" attachments for mixing bread which I am planning to experiment with next. If you're looking for an affordable, good quality mixer for everyday kitchen jobs, you'll love this one ! Works great and well worth the price !

I’ve attached a picture of my current beaters for comparison. While there is a noticeable size difference, I’m hoping it won’t impact their efficiency. I prefer flat beaters over wire ones because they mix more effectively. One thing I noticed is the placement of the cord—it’s in an awkward spot. It would be more convenient if it were positioned at the bottom of the handle to stay out of the way during mixing. The slider power button is easy to use and makes adjusting the speed effortless. The turbo button is well-placed, too. Right-handed users can press it with their thumb, while left-handed users can use their index finger. The mixer has strong power—possibly too strong. Even the lowest setting feels a bit high, so I’m not sure how often I’ll need the turbo button. Ejecting the beaters requires a firm push on the eject button. At first, I thought it wasn’t working, but I realized I just wasn’t pressing hard enough. After running the mixer for about a minute, I noticed a slight odor coming from the motor. Hopefully, that will go away after a few uses. I do love the red color!

The DESDEMONA Electric Hand Mixer is a compact hand mixer that works well and has enough power to get the job done. The mixer is small in size, so easily storable. It comes with regular mixer beaters and dough hooks, that store in a small closing bag. The mixer has 5 speeds that work well, and a 'turbo' boost that gives it a little more power. There is a button to eject the beaters. This is a little tight on my mixer, so I have to press the button hard for it to eject. Not a big deal for me but I thought I would mention it in case someone is having trouble with it and feel it is a defect. It's not, just push a little harder. The mixer works good for regular mixing jobs. I haven't used it for making dough, but since it comes with dough hooks I am going to assume it can handle this job. The mixer is small, easily portable and powerful enough for almost all tasks. It is a great machine at a reasonable price (27. at the time of this review). Recommend!!

We FINALLY replaced our old mixer that we have had forever with this one, and initial impressions were definitely positive. It is far less noisy than our old one, and the lower speeds are actually low enough to not cause messes like our old one. The dough hooks are a cool addition, but we have a large mixers with dough hooks already for that purpose, so we won't likely use those. The mixer has a pretty decent range of speeds and seems to have plenty of power through each setting. The button to release the mixers is a bit stiff, but I imagine that will loosen up with time. Something to consider though as both my wife and I were both kind of surprised with how much pressure was needed to release them. All told, it's a great little mixer for a great price, and it's smaller size makes it easy to store as well.
