I don’t know why I didn’t buy this hand mixer a long time ago. I just started getting into baking and have been doing everything by hand. My arms were getting so tired! This mixer has cut the time it takes to mix the ingredients tremendously and it does it with ease. It mixes even the toughest doughs I throw at it. This is one of the better small mixers I've found. However, there does seem to be at least one flaw. It makes an excessive amount of noise, like a whine, even when not pulling anything hard. We had an old Kenmore mixed finally depart after giving us over 20 years of service. We were hoping to find a mixer that would replace it and seem familiar in hand and in use. Hamilton-Beach has been around for a very long time and we chose a name-brand over many unknown brands being sold. This mixer was a keeper the first time we put it into use. It's very comfortable and balanced in hand and up to the task with a strong motor. The SS beaters are solidly made and the metal seems a very heavy gauge. The wisk attachment was a treat to get since our old mixed never had an attachment like that. The large storage unit included is very tall and takes up too much space in use (plus it snaps on easily, but, because it has such a strong grip, it is hard to snap off) and for our needs, it isn't really needed anyway, so we'll not use it and just store the mixer and beaters in our kitchen cabinet drawer as we did with our old mixer. Very pleased to find a new mixer that we've become accustomed to so easily after having our old mixer for so long. 5 Stars, the price is right and this is a really decent mixer in design, solidity and materials. ... show more
