I ordered this for my Nest doorbell, as the coating was flaking off. It looks like this is a common problem with Nest doorbells. My assumption wad this would fit my doorbell per the description of my doorbell. The unit was too long, so I had to cut out some of the silicone to make it fit. Because it would no longer fit tight on the doorbell, I used clear silicone sealant to adhere to the side of the doorbell. Make sure to measure the length of the doorbell. My Nest unit is 4 3/4 inches from top to bottom, and this was 5 1/4 inches. Should have sent it back, but was able to modify it. ... show more

It's a silicone cover, which means it attracts dust like crazy and looks used after a day. But I knew that before buying it, and it's not the product's fault. It fits like a glove and doesn't impede the camera view, night vision, microphone/speaker, or button in any way. So it gets 5 stars from me on merit. If you care about it looking dusty, you should probably mentally deduct a star. So why did I buy it if it almost instantly looks worse than the doorbell itself and doesn't protect the one part that gets touched? Because the only place I could mount the doorbell was on the door itself -- which is dark brown -- and Google didn't see fit to offer any of their 2nd gen Nest doorbells in dark colors.
