The EGO POWER+ 16” Chain Saw features an advanced, high-efficiency brushless motor that delivers power equivalent to a 40CC gas chainsaw without the noise, fuss, or fumes. Powered by any EGO POWER+ 56V ARC Lithium™ battery, this cordless chainsaw delivers up to 130 cuts on a 4x4 when used with the recommended 2.5Ah ARC Lithium™ battery (available separately). The chainsaw features a tool-free chain tensioning system that allows fast, easy bar and chain adjustments through independent dials. These low-profile dials also allow the electric chainsaw to cut flush to the ground. Its 16-inch bar and chain with 20m/s chain speed delivers clean, efficient cuts while its automatic oiling system keeps the saw lubricated throughout the cutting process. I’m really impressed with how well this chainsaw performs. I own a 16” Stihl chainsaw that I’ve used for over 20 years and thought it wouldn’t be possible for an electric saw to be so comparable. The ego 16” has such impressive power and speed even through hardwoods. I was skeptical at first, but this saw did not disappoint. It’s really nice to use this saw in the backyard to make quick work of any wood cutting you may encounter. I wouldn’t hesitate to use this saw in the woods neither.. The battery life is really good and it is up to the task of any big wood cutting project. As a long time gas chainsaw user I would highly recommend this EGO saw for anyone looking to try out the electric version. I really like the fact you don’t have to worry about mixing oil and gas and then having to use fuel stabilizers for unused gas. I do love the sound of a roaring gas saw ripping through trees, but you know technology keeps evolving and our planet is better off for it. I’ll stop there before I upset anyone. The electric chainsaw is awesome for processing logs in a residential setting. I cut up a few logs and I doubt the neighbors could hear it with their windows shut. Lots of power. Super simple - no need to yank the starter cord. Just turn it on and off with a switch. Very pleased with the cuts.

Bought this because I'm tired of mixing gas and oil, using a tankful and having so much mixed unused gasoline leftover in the garage. This EGO chainsaw is quiet, efficient and slices through firewood and small tree limbs like butter. I figure the battery will last about 1 hour of constant cutting. I cut 3 wheel barrows of wood in 30 minutes of less. I like the design of the saw. Chain adjustment is quick and easy and good value for the money. Oh, and the chain lube tank doesn't leak like gas-powered chainsaws-a big plus! I highly recommend! I haven't used my gas-powered chainsaw since buying this tool. I will probably sell my gas chainsaw in the Spring. ... show more

I wanted to take care of a tree that fell into my yard. It was about 8" diameter wide where my last cut was going to be at the edge of the yard so doable. I had EGO batteries already for a snowblower and had a smaller battery chainsaw/trimmer device from years ago I really liked but the chain moved slowly. I had to wait for it to cut. I had no idea what to expect from this but I was really pleased!! Chain buzzed right along and I cut up the tree quickly. And I was cutting it up in chunks so I could carry it out of the lawn. Bought this to replace a corded electric saw. Over the last 2 days I put it through the paces clearing a stand of black locust saplings. I was very pleased with the performance. The unit was easy to set up and operate. It is well balanced, and there is hardly any vibration. The chain oiler worked well, and the gauge was easy to read. The batteries lasted longer than I expected. For two days I had about 5 hours of true run time. Using the 5.0 AH batteries if got about an hour of run time per battery. I was cutting young trees, with trunks up to 1.5". If I had to do it again I would strongly consider buying the model with the auto tensioner. Keeping the chain tight with a new chain kept me on my toes. I had a couple of instances where I wasn't paying close enough attention, and I had the chain come off (operator error - not a design flaw). One thing that I learned to be very careful about is the safety brake. When the brake is in the run position the space between the handle and the brake is a little close. I had a couple instances where I actually tripped the brake while repositioning my grip. Overall, the saw worked like a champ. Relatively quiet compared to a gas saw. Easy to maneuver, Not too heavy (with the 5.0 Ah battery). Tool free access for cleaning, and tool free chain tensioning meant no possibility of dropping a tool in the woods and losing it. I would definitely recommend this for home use with medium duty loads. If I have a reason to use it for breaking down larger trees I will update with comments on that performance. ... show more

Like most folks in the Nashville, TN area, the recent ice storm left lots of downed trees and limbs in our yard. We had some fence damage too. The fence can't be fixed until all the limbs are dealt with. We've had some no call/no show tree companies the last 2-3 weeks, so frustration rules the day. We decided to do most of the work ourselves since none of the trees or limbs are over 6"-10" diameter. We'll let a tree company (if one ever shows up) deal with the trees that caused actually property damage that's covered under our homeowner's policy. Plus, some of the trees will require a snorkel lift or bucket truck to reach. We needed a chainsaw, but I've always disliked traditional gas-powered chainsaws and all the mess from the fuel and oil and they're noisy AF and they're great little pollution makers. We bought an EGO Power + LB7654 Leaf Blower last year with a 56v 5.0Ah battery that is allegedly the most powerful battery operated unit in existence. It does an incredible job and the battery lasts a really long time. Since we already had the battery and charger, we ordered the 16" EGO Power + CS1610 chainsaw on Amazon Prime. We used it yesterday to cut up fallen trees and limbs in our back yard. It was in use for two hours and cut through everything like butter with battery to spare. Color me impressed. Its the best $219 we've spent in a long time. If you're looking for an electric chainsaw, you cant go wrong here. The batteries are expensive though, so be prepared to dig deep. Now, if EGO Power + would only make some day laborer robots to schlep all the cut up trees and limbs down to the curb. 🤔 ... show more
