Description

The EGO POWER+ 16” Chain Saw features an advanced, high-efficiency brushless motor that delivers power equivalent to a 40CC gas chainsaw without the noise, fuss, or fumes. Powered by any EGO POWER+ 56V ARC Lithium™ battery, this cordless chainsaw delivers up to 130 cuts on a 4x4 when used with the recommended 2.5Ah ARC Lithium™ battery (available separately). The chainsaw features a tool-free chain tensioning system that allows fast, easy bar and chain adjustments through independent dials. These low-profile dials also allow the electric chainsaw to cut flush to the ground. Its 16-inch bar and chain with 20m/s chain speed delivers clean, efficient cuts while its automatic oiling system keeps the saw lubricated throughout the cutting process. For added control and safety, the saw is equipped with robust metal bucking spikes and kickback brake with an easy-to-see brake position indicator. Performs well on cutting up small to medium sized fallen trees. Battery power is more than adequate. Size is not too heavy for this 69 yr old woman. Don't think I could manage a bigger unit. Be careful pouring the chain lubricant into the compartment, it is thick stuff, but seems to do the job well.

I’ve got other Ego products and have been very happy with them. I like this because I don’t need a chainsaw very often but when I do need one, it’s nice to not have get the gas mixed and the saw started. Love this. It works so well. All the adjustments can be done by hand. No tools needed. It starts perfectly with one squeeze of the trigger. I have cut up trees as thick as24” in diameter. I don’t know if this is the right tool for such a big tree….but this one did the trick! It never felt like it was under strain. It just keeps cutting. Be sure to get Chainsaw oil…this uses quite a bit and it is not included. And when you clean it, I recommend a toothbrush or similar. Some of the little holes for screws and things can get compacted with tree sap, chainsaw oil, and saw dust…. This is truly a great find and a great price. ... show more
