  • This shovel clears snow
Style: Lightweight Snow Shovel & Power Head...
This Ego snow shovel will move the snow. It is easy to use and blows the snow up to 25' (farther with the wind at your back). It cleans right down to the pavement or decking. Two speeds with an adjustable chute allows for good control of the snow coming out of the machine. I cleared a 40' x 50' three car driveway and 60' of sidewalk on the battery provided with a single charge. I do have additional batteries if necessary but I didn't need them. There is some weight to the machine and while it pushes forward easily, it can take a bit to learn to maneuver it without straining something. I would put the max snow height at 5 to 6 inches. 5 if wet snow, 6 for drier snow. I like that the plastic blade on the bottom can be replaced. Note: This unit it pre-assembled and is not compatible with the new powerhead unit and the interchangeable tools. ... show more

  • Lake Property is Almost Gas Free With EGO Power Tools!
Style: Lightweight Snow Shovel & Power Head...
63 years old with bad Rotator So Much Easier Than a traditional snow Shovel. This Thing is The Bees Knees! Worth Every Penny. Had A 4” Snow Last Night Jumped up this morning and Shoveled the decks and blacktop drive way. When using it feels Solid like it’s going to last, just like All Ego Products Do. I have purchased The Chainsaw, Weedwacker, Blower, And Yesterday Got the Snow Shovel, Next Up I Need an Edger. Started With Ego! Staying With Ego! Love Em! No Darn Loud Engine to listen to and Smell. No Rope to pull on for minutes at a time. This Thing is Quit, POWERFUL and All I Smell Is Fresh Air. Barely got the heart rate going after 30 minutes in the cold shoveling. 1 Complaint Should have a Rod coming up on handle to Adjust the Angle. You have to reach down and adjust it. Not Necessary if they added a Simple adjustment Rod. A few more dollars would be worth Having an Adjustment Rod in reach. I Love Tools. Compared to years back These new tools coming out are Crazy! Keep Em Coming EGO! ... show more

  • Excellent except for 1 major design flaw of no wheels that can be corrected
Style: Lightweight Snow Shovel Bare Tool
This shovel is great for my arthritic 74yo back- with a crucial addition. It works so well, I’m able to clear my driveway & make a path on my walkway no problem. The addition is Joopsam wheels for a string trimmer https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BHTKGN16?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1, many thanks to the person whose review suggested them. The wheels make all the difference with using & turning the shovel & I don’t have to lift it very much. I have no idea why wheels weren’t part of the original shovel design, seems like a no brainer. I have several EGO tools & they all are terrific & very well designed. ... show more

Love this snow shovel! It works really well and does a great job cleaning. The battery lasts long enough to do our driveway and sidewalks with room to spare

  • Junk
Style: Lightweight Snow Shovel & Power Head...
This only works on a smooth surface . Its useless on a stone, gravel or grass walk because it has no wheels and doesn't pull itself forward . I wouldn't recommend it . Purchase a small Toro or something with wheels .

  • Powerful, Lightweight, and a Huge Time Saver
Style: Lightweight Snow Shovel & Power Head...
I’ve been really impressed with the EGO Power+ 12" Cordless Electric Snow Shovel. It’s lightweight, powerful, and incredibly easy to use, perfect for clearing snow quickly without the hassle of gas or cords. It handles my walkway and back decks with ease, even after a decent snowfall, and saves my back compared to a traditional shovel. The included 56V battery delivers solid performance and charges quickly. I can usually clear everything on one charge, but I’m planning to purchase an extra battery just in case, especially for longer sessions or heavier snow. Overall, this is an excellent tool for small to medium areas and a great addition to my winter setup. Highly recommend for anyone looking to make snow removal easier. ... show more

  • Tosses snow much farther than I thought
Style: Lightweight Snow Shovel & Power Head...
I got this because I have the ego, lawnmower and leaf blower and adding this into the mix was a no-brainer as I have the battery platform. I live in Colorado and we get some snow here. I am in a community and don’t have much to shovel but, I wanted to supplement my manual shovel with something I could use electrically. The first snow I used it on we had 7 inches and then it got a little wet and compacted down to about 4 inches. I didn’t think this thing would be able to handle it at all, but I was wrong. It threw the snow much farther than I thought it would end at one point I was actually splattering the side of my neighbor’s house. Oops! It’s very easy to assemble. The weight is just right. For a relatively inexpensive product the design is pretty darn good. You do have to reach down to adjust the shoot to decide which direction you’re gonna throw the snow in left right or straight. But I tried to set it to the left and just keep throwing snow in that direction. The quality is what you would expect from this brand no surprises here. It’s good stuff. Battery life was much better than I thought it was going to be and having extra ego batteries should mean I never run out. If I’m out there and I’ve run my two batteries out it’s time to come in for coffee! ... show more

  • A Shovel That Is Not a Shovel
Style: Lightweight Snow Shovel & Power Head...
The media could not be loaded. The first test run was a 6" powdering of snow. Once my wife (because she wouldn't let me use it) got the hang of it, there was no issue in cutting right through. She was able to clear two sidewalks and a large deck with one charge. There are a few things people need to understand: You don't pick this up like a shovel. You drag it back and push it forward. If you lower the handle towards the ground as you are going forward, you will get a better distance on the throwing of snow. The directional dial only throws snow just slightly at an angle, not to the side like a blower. We were able to get this on sale, but the price was a little high compared to other brands. Since we were already committed to the EGO systems due to prior products purchased, we felt this was our best choice. The second test was a 2" wet snow. We were only able to clear a 4-car driveway before the battery was completely discharged. This was keeping it at its highest speed the entire time. In our opinion, this is best used on sidewalks and decks. ... show more
