This was bought for natural gas. EVERYTHING comes with the generator: Natural gas hookup, Propane hookup, Heavy duty plugs of all kinds. Oil funnel. I previously had a smaller propane/gas so all the hookup for electrical had been done. The remote starter works! Just like your late model cars - keep it in your pocket! I had my HVAC install the gradual start for my main unit. He was cheaper than buying one! The other unit will be offline as everyone can move downstairs if need be. We were only out 2 and 1/2 days with Helene, many others suffered 7-14 days til power came back on. Ran it full load (yes, HVAC) for 3 1/2 hrs last week as a test and worked like a charm!! This one is definitely louder and I needed some assistance to get the battery hooked up. (I am physically challenged but had excellent helpers) ... show more

I have had three of these XP 1500s prior to this model. This model is terrible. Will not do the job. The three prior did with no problem those breakers constantly one of the worst purchases I’ve ever made from Amazon like I said, I’ve had two of this generator same version prior to purchasing this one so for some reason on this generator, they changed its dimensions so it no longer fits where I had it mounted prior. They moved the control board and the oil access to the other side of the generator moved the exhaust from where it was to the side of the generator completely throwing my game off when I expected to order the new version of the same generator, I’ve had for six years prior that worked very well This new version of the generator for some reason they added this Trifu capability, which who the hell needs it to run on natural gas has completely turned a really good generator into a 400 pound hunker junk paper weight very displeased. With Duramax’s choice to take a very good generator and mess it all up glad I wasted nearly $3500 currently searching for a new generator to purchase and it won’t be from Duramax ... show more

Ordered XP15000HXT on Monday; delivered on Wednesday. Very well packaged as everything was in a big box and it was strapped to a wooden pallet. Installed wheels, handles and front rubber supports; added almost 2 quarts of 10W-30 oil (not provided); connected to propane tank and voila! Started right up! All of the features work as they should, including the remote key fob. Now, I'm ready for hurricane season, although I hope I never have to use it! ... show more

Generator showed up packaged well. I did the minor assembly and added the oil. Hooked this up to a natural gas line and 240v 50amp plug and away we went. Started on the first attempt. Runs my whole house with central air (I did install softstart on air). It is loud, very loud I would say. I guess if it's an emergency I probably won't care as much.
