  • For the price, this is definitely a great option.
Don’t use their water bottle set up …we dry hatch until day 18. On day 18, we just squeeze some water in the hole at the bottom to bring humidity up to at least 55%. Our first use was nearly a 100% hatch rate. We hatch chicks every year and for the price, you can’t beat this little incubator. Don’t use the dividers in the turner, just set 16 regular sized eggs inside the rectangle that turns your eggs, and you’re good to go. Please use an extra internal hygrometer!!! Also, wrapping it in a towel was a big help in maintaining temp. ... show more

  • Worst incubator ever!
This incubator is not dependable. The temperature is off by three degrees and the egg roller stopped working after two weeks. We have lost a lot of money in eggs and also wasted our money on this terrible incubator. Put your money towards a higher quality product.

  • Rather disappointing
The media could not be loaded. The “Egg Incubators, 16-32 Eggs Incubator for Hatching Eggs with Automatic Egg Turning & Humidity Control & Auto Water Adding for Farm Hatching Chicken Quail Ducks” is exactly how the title is listed. It’s really a nice concept for a tabletop egg incubator. Unfortunately, the title and product have never met. This only displays in Celsius. It does not have an option for Fahrenheit. This is underpowered and struggles to get up to operation temps. Using the Styrofoam enclosure helps. There is a digital temp readout and control but no humidity readout or control. This does not have automatic humidity control. You cannot control the humidity levels period. The fancy water injection system is a bottle connected to a rubber hose which drips into the bottom of the pan. Wow! High tech. To know the actual temp and humidity, you really need to put your own meter inside it. The egg candle feature is a very bright LED. Extremely bright for egg embryos. The turning mechanism is straight forward but poorly designed in that it doesn’t rotate the egg very far. It takes a long time to warm up and raise the humidity levels. If the power goes out and then later comes back on, it will resume operations as normal. The fan doesn’t make much noise and is quiet. The bottle will leave a few drops of water when changing it out. Very easy to take apart and clean. Rather disappointing on the whole, though. ... show more

  • Incubator is working great but instructions could be better
We are a homeschool family that lives in the country and we have had chickens off and on over many years but never have had the opportunity to incubate eggs ourselves. When I saw this little unit online I knew I had to get it and give it a try with the kiddos. We went to purchase some fertilized chicken eggs and when they heard that we were doing this as a homeschool project they gave us six eggs! You cannot beat free! We are now at 7 days into it and the incubator is working flawlessly. As we progress through the 21 days I will try to update this review on our progress. But for now here are my thoughts on this little unit. 1) The instructions are lacking. For example it says that you are able to adjust the temperature by using the up and down arrows. I pressed the up arrow and nothing changed. I pressed the down arrow and nothing changed. What the instructions didn't tell you is you need to do a quick press on the candle light button to enter into the adjust temperature setting and then when you press the up or down arrows you are able to adjust the temp. Took me a good five minutes of playing around before I figured it out. 2) The turning of the eggs is accomplished with a simple system. There is a pin on a motor in the lid that fits into a slot on the tray. As the motor turns the pin pushed the tray back and forth very slowly rolling the eggs. You need to make sure that the pin fits into the tray slot when putting on the lid or you will not turn your eggs. 3) The tray is a simple design as well with slots on each end that allows one to place dividers across to fit the size of eggs that you have. The unit comes with plenty of dividers so you are able to adjust spacing and allow for as many eggs as will fit easily. Remember not to pinch the eggs in the dividers because the eggs need to roll as the tray gets moved back and forth. There is no storage for the extra dividers. This means they certainly can get lost. I always like it when the provide a storage place on the unit for those loose parts. 4) We heat our home with wood so we do experience rather large fluctuations of indoor temperatures. The directions tell you to keep the packaging to place around the unit, if you have this situation, so that temp's will be maintained during the incubation period. We did this (Pics 1 and 2) and I have not seen the temps vary by more than .1 degree C. 5) The water tray works but does allow water to spill over when the table is bumped. The bottle does not screw into the base, but just sits and with the open base it is easy to spill water. Also, at the start it will go through several bottles of water quickly as it fills up the reservoir underneath the egg tray. But once that initial period is done, we have gone through a bottle about every three days. We live at high altitude so keeping the humidity up is difficult. Where we received the eggs they told us to add a little hydrogen peroxide to our water to help with this issue. 6) There is no humidity sensor in the unit. So I am just guessing on the humidity level by watching how much condensation is building on the walls of the unit. It would be nice to have something to where you get a more accurate indication of the humidity levels in the unit. From my experience so far this is a well designed incubator that is functioning well. The instructions could be better on how to operate the unit, but it certainly can be figured out with a some trial and error. For the price point and the good design I recommend this product. ... show more

  • Great little incubator
I absolutely love this little tiny incubator it says it holds 16 to 32 eggs.It comesfortably holds about 14 AA chicken eggs.I imagine if you're putting in button quail you'll be able to hold thirty two eggs. I love the auto turn feature on it.The only coviot is me.I have to make sure it's exactly on the little track or it will stop it. The thank you, Peter is very easy to clean. It does make a small amount of noise from the don't mind because it acts as white noise. There is a small learning curve.I highly recommend putting a piece of style from under the incubator and you'll have to use a plate to make sure that your water container that feeds the humidifier in your incubator is level. This set did not come with the styrofoam that supposed to go around the water that was not included And all the temperatures in celsius other than that you just converted to fahrenheit. We currently have fourteen double a chicken eggs from our farm incubating in there and we are on day five I will update as we hatch. ... show more
