This is a great little incubator !! We hatched 10 out of 12 quail and are working on our second batch! Highly recommend. I read the reviews before purchasing and one person said to only fill the water bottle half way, which I have done and worked great. It takes about 18 days to hatch them, but boy…they do just start popping like popcorn! Totally worth the money. Once they hatch, leave them in there for up to 24 hours to dry off. Mine were pretty dry and ready to put in brooder box in about 13 hours as they hatched in the morning.

Ok so bit of a read here but i know there's many overthinkers who wants to know all the ins & outs first off Great for the price as for longevity I've had 4 successful hatches a year in and its still running strong , just buy a small cheap hydrometer since it doesn't have humidity readers built in (which is standard & the ones that come with are usually inaccurate anyways.) The temperature holds stable, automatic turner seems rough but really is smooth and never had 1 egg crack from it. Its auto waterer does work in the sense it does automatically replenish the water but this will turn your humidity too high! Add water accordingly relative to the humidity (use your separately purchased hydrometer) never fill the bottle up entirely! That being said you'll see a lot of reviews with great hatch rates & many with bad! This is entirely dependant on the hatcher & egg quality. This is a great first time incubator for all occasions. Just rest assured that this incubator is very much so capable of hatching pretty much whatever egg fits in! (About 12 chicken eggs small-med size & about 8 LARGE size eggs) fits a total of usually (18--24 quail eggs) do your research & you'll be fine happy hatching !

**Title: A Bit of a Rollercoaster, but One Sweet Chick!** I was thrilled to finally get my hands on this 12-egg incubator – my first attempt at hatching chicks! Setting it up seemed straightforward, and after about 6 hours, I placed my 12 fertilized eggs inside, eagerly anticipating the adorable baby chicks to come. Initially, I was slightly concerned when I noticed the humidity dropping after just 24 hours. I raised the water bottle higher, and to my surprise, it soaked up the entire bottle! After refilling, it happened again, resulting in water all over my table. I decided to take matters into my own hands and added water manually to keep the humidity in check. Then, around day 5, I heard an unusual clicking noise. To my dismay, the automatic turner wasn't working! So, I had to remember to turn the eggs manually while still monitoring the water levels. Despite the hiccups, I’m overjoyed to report that one brave little chick hatched! This experience has taught me a lot about hatching and incubators, even if it wasn’t perfect. As for returning it, I’m still debating that since the tiny chick made all the work worthwhile. If it weren’t for that little miracle, I might have given it only 1 star as a warning to others. However, I’ll give it 3 stars for the joy of hatching, but be prepared for some challenges when using this incubator! If you’re willing to put in the extra effort, you might find your own little bundles of joy! 🐣❤️ Side note: the picture of 5 chicks is because I had to buy my little baby some friends from Tractor Supply, so it wasn't lonely.

When I tried to hatch eggs the first time I had a terrible incubator and didn't know better my new one has all the readers for the tempature and humidity it turns the eggs for you and has a candling light so much better just got my eggs I'm feeling good about it this time
