I only write reviews for something that works really well and this is filter works flawlessly!! This is the only product out of the many products that I've tried that promises a spotless car wash that actually works. 1st: I rinsed the car with a pressure washer to remove lose dirt and debris. 2nd: applied soap with a soap cannon, no scrubbing, to break down grime. 3rd: rinsed the car with a pressure washer to remove as much grime as possible before scrubbing. 4th: applied soap with a soap cannon, scrubbed with a microfiber mitt or cloth. 5th: rinsed the car with a pressure washer to remove the soap. 6th: final rinse with the HG filter attached to a garden hose. There was no need to use the HG filter throughout the entire wash process. You just need to use it for the final spotless rinse. The filter will last longer only using it for the final rinse. No need to towel dry, the car can be left to air dry and there will be no water spots.

I am very impressed with the results after using the water deionizer. I always towel dry my cars, but if it is sunny or windy I have to pull them in the garage because they will be covered in water spots before I can get them dry. We have a lot of solids in our water and your car will be covered in white spots. If it is a hot/sunny day, you won't get the spots off. Today it was sunny, windy, and low humidity, perfect scenario for water spots. I washed the car as normal, ensuring I kept the car wet while I washed it. I then disconnected the hose and let it drain and then hooked up the deionizer. I only turned the water on about halfway and did not use a nozzle. I just let the water gently flow over the entire car, to include the glass and wheels. I then waited a few minutes to start drying the car and dried the sunny side last, which was already dry from the sun and wind. I gave it every opportunity to water spot. When I got done the car was spotless. No water spots anywhere, it even looked more shiny than normal. If this last and continues to give these results it will be money well spent.

Worked great for a few car washes. Checked the TDS after a few uses....001 so pretty good. Today I washed the car and saw some water spots. Checked the TDS and it was 043. Wow...probably not 50 total gallons through the filter. TDS pre filter from the softener is 353. SO I'm not sure how many gallons of 353 TDS is needed to displace the resin. Obviously not many gallons. Will try another brand and see if I have better luck.

All I can say is wow, what a difference this made. A noticable difference in the final shine with no more annoying waterspots. So much easier detailing my car now. Wish I would've bought this a long time ago! If you are tired of those annoying hard water spots all over your car after spending time on trying to obtain a nice clean spotless shine then you need this. Worth the money.

I purchased the H&G lifestyles Portable Water Deionizer as I am on well water and have a shiny black car...not a winning combo! I take great pride in maintaining my car and while my water may not be super hard, whatever solids it does contain leave big white spots whenever they aren't gotten to fast enough or are missed I ran across the H&G lifestyles Portable Water Deionizer in a Youtube detailing video and the price point was so much less than other available deionizers I thought I'd give it a chance. It was shipped and arrived quickly and the quality was obvious and everything needed to connect it to the spigot was in the box I ran water through it for 1 minute as directed and then measured both the deionized and untreated water with a TDS meter (see pictures). My untreated well water is approximately 190ppm and while that doesn't tell the whole story, it's good to see the baseline. Through the deionizer I get approximately 30ppm and more importantly, I get no spots even when I purposely let the water dry on the paint After washing by foaming, then washing with the 2 bucket method I rinsed with untreated water. I then flooded off the remaining water with the hose only via the H&G lifestyles Portable Water Deionizer. This removed 95% of the water and using a rinseless wash mixture in a spray bottle and a Autofiber Dreadnought XL towel I easily removed any remaining water I have a Dodge Challenger and they are notorious for leaking water from the trunk and mirrors and crevasses long after you have dried and that always left spots I had to find and remove by hand in tight little spaces. I recently polished and sealed all the paint on the entire car and the H&G lifestyles Portable Water Deionizer will help me keep it perfect I also reached out to the company and a rep, shout out to Justin!, emailed me right away, and followed up to make sure I was satisfied. I even ordered their smaller portable deionizer to put on the input of this H&G lifestyles Portable Water Deionizer to prolong the life of it's resin and perhaps lower the ppm to zero. The only reason for a 4 star review was not getting zero ppm, but I know that is a result of the hardness of the untreated water and the flow rate, etc. I am in no way dissatisfied as yet and I will test the water each usage and track how much I use and see how it does over time. I recommended this to the members of the Challenger forum I am a Super Moderator on as a quality item at a reasonable price
