  • Good variety
Format: Paperback
This has a good variety of songs. I can find things that not only I appreciate, but that my student does as well. A fun volume for just playing around in practice.

  • 39 songs, not 500
Format: Paperback
I knew there were only 39 songs before I ordered it, but I do think the cover is misleading. Nice variety of songs. I will have to cut it up and put it in a 3 ring binder, so it will stay open. The arrangements look to be too hard for a beginner, but not challenging for an advanced pianist, which is exactly what I wanted. There are notes about the songs in the front of the book, and that is where my complaint lies. Several instances of vulgar language, which was totally unexpected in this type of book, but hey, it’s Rolling Stone, so I guess I should’ve known. I just took my white out tape and covered up everything I found offensive. I didn’t find any of the extra info particularly useful, or even interesting, so I may just leave those pages out when I put them in my binder. Just a heads up, in case you’re gifting this to someone and it would be inappropriate, or you’re like me and just don’t appreciate that kind of language. Overall, I’m satisfied with the music, which is what I bought it for anyway. ... show more

  • Great collection
Format: Paperback
I am new (still learning) to piano and wanted a collection of sheet music to play that would be fun (funner than the public domain stuff that is out there for free). This was good buy for a great collection of easy to follow and not too advance sheet music. The lyrics are also included and the music is not over complicated where people still learning cannot follow it and play it. The music is fun and is more rewarding when you know the song that you are playing. I am really happy with this book and really enjoy playing some hit songs. It is fun and when you hear the song you are playing and recognize it is a great feeling! I highly recommend this for anyone learning piano and wanting to play something they know and get that awesome feeling of hearing a popular song come out of the piano. The only thing I would change is the binding. I wish they had the binding that had that wrapping (like binders) that allows the book to sit open completely on the music stand. This book has to be really bent out to make it stay open on the music stand. However, it is doable and for the price I am not complaining!! ... show more

  • Plenty of Good Music
Format: Paperback
The Rolling Stone song books are a great value, well printed, and well written. Although it is written for piano, I can play the songs on my trumpet. The spiral binding makes it easy to set on my music stand.
